3. QUALIFICATION AND TRAINING Training is nothing more than a 'practice' battle, the win or loss does not count. In training, the Trainer will comment on each of your posts and suggest ideas for improvement, tell you what you are doing wrong and, hopefully, what you're doing right. Qualification, as stated, must be completed before you can challenge or battle anyone else in the Antei Combat Centre and it is completely separate from training. Some important things that Trainers are looking for in Qualification are:Grammar and Spelling - Be sure to proof read and spell-check ALL of your posts, take pride in your work. Detail - Be as detailed as possible in each of your posts. As a minimum cover things like; terrain, mood and combat. A good rule of thumb: 'Detail' probably won't manifest itself in a post that is less than 250 words. Comparing Stats - If you have done a bit of research in the Handbook, this should come easy. The Trainers want to see that you know how to compare the stats of yourself and your opponent. Things like STR vs CON, DEX vs DEX and the like are pivotal to a great battle. Force Powers - Don't be afraid to use the Force, but use the available resources and use it correctly. Trainers want to see that you know how to write it. Post Structure - For the benefit of everyone that will read it, be sure your battle is neat. Use paragraphs to separate whole ideas; place dialogue on individual lines - take pride in how the post 'looks' as well as how it reads. DeathPost - Finally, trainers are looking for a good deathpost that meets the intent of being the end of the battle. For information on deathposts please see the ACC Rules. |
