Department of Combat Tactics:
Test of Power
1 – Introduction
Welcome students, and soon to be top pilots, to the Combat Hall’s most physical course. Here you will put all that you know, or think you know, into either ground or space combat, depending upon your preference. This course is not like others, however, for you will be putting your talents to the test, in practical challenges to test your piloting and/or fighting skills. Those of you that come out victorious will no doubt be stronger, wiser, and more skilled in piloting and fighting.
Before you proceed, there are some rules to follow. They have already been uploaded to your datapad, so make sure you follow them if you wish to keep your life. Read them carefully, and you may just come out successfully having passed the Test of Power.
IMPORTANT: All games played require screenshots to be valid. If no screenshot is taken, then the game will be void.
2 – Finding Opponents
There are several ways you can go about finding opponents to play. The most common will be to join #dbgaming on the Undernet servers using mIRC and ask for matches. There you can either ask for specific matches, or play matches during Gaming Events and, if they fit the requirements, use those. For ICTE, the channel is #Outerrim. As stated above, this is only available on Saturdays, so plan ahead. You may also ask around in your clan channel, within the scope of not being a nuisance.
3 – Qualification
There are two ways you can earn the qualification for the Test of Power. One of them is earn a Pendant of Blood. To earn the Pendant, you must have the best win/loss record for the week. For example, if you played 15 matches this week and had a record of 12-3, and the runner up placed 16 matches with a record of 13-3, he would earn the Pendant for that week.
The other course is to claim first place in the Inter Club Training Event. This is held weekly, with clubs in alliance with the Brotherhood. It is only held on Saturdays, and only from midnight to midnight. To claim first place, you must play a minimum of 7 people, earning at least 12 Clusters of Fire.
It does not matter what games you play to earn one of the honors, as long as they as Brotherhood approved and supported by the Gaming Tribune.
