Greetings, Brotherhood member. This datapad contains important information about the Shadow Academy.
New members, your journey here has been hard. First, you had to trek some 40 kilometers to reach our gates. Some did not survive this journey. The trial did not end there, though. Next you were divided into the halls of separation. Force potential is not a guarantee of success, but those who have no true force potential, but still managed to make the journey, have been removed from the Shadow Academy. They shall serve the Brotherhood in other capacities, depending upon their skills. You; however, have managed to survive the journey, and you show potential in the Force.
You may use this datapad for your studies and personal communication. This is your personal datapad now and you may keep it with you throughout your career in the Brotherhood. If you choose not to use this datapad, then you may return it to the Shadow Academy upon leaving. Loss or misuse of the datapad is not tolerated and will result in harsh penalties.
