Vez finds things. Artifacts, data, places—she’s not picky so long as the pay is good and there’s challenge in the chase. But most of all, Vez finds people. She supports herself through slicing, bounty hunting and, assuming she can find a bit of hired muscle she can put up with for more than five minutes, skip tracing for more physically-oriented bounty hunters. She loves the work, and has a disquieting tendency to engage in recreational snooping and light stalking for funsies. Although her skills are always in demand, they also tend to get her into trouble as often as not.

Vez goes through life guided by impulses she doesn’t quite understand. To the undertrained observer, it seems like Hirundo is just chasing the next big score, and perhaps that’s all it really is. For her part, Vez only knows that vivid and occasionally disturbing dreams seem to drive her towards certain events and places. There may be some higher purpose at work, but whether Vez can overcome her cynicism and irresponsibility long enough to come to grips with it remains to be seen.

Vez is known for her “well-stocked medicine cabinet,” the result of her fondness for psychoactive substances. Although she avoids “the hard stuff,” Vez relies on a dizzying variety of stimulants and focus enhancers to enable long work sessions, downers to get herself to sleep and offset the uppers, alcohol to take the edge off, entheogens for fun, and staggering amount of caf and cigarras just to get through the day. She insists that bouncing between different chemicals prevents addiction or long-term problems, though in reality her entire lifestyle is one giant addiction.

Whether due to some past trauma or just an assumption that the rest of the galaxy is as fickle and heartless as she appears to be, Hirundo is deeply cynical about institutions, philosophies, and other people. She has few to no steadfast principles and is suspicious of anyone who does, which has left her with a dearth of lasting non-professional relationships. More conspicuously, this attitude has given her an obnoxious tendency to buck group consensus just for the sake of being independent.

Vez treats her body like a temple. More specifically, she treats it like a temple to the god of alcohol, cigarras, and poor life choices. Although she’s young and in fairly decent shape, Hirundo’s hatred of exercise and love of psychoactives has left her with a surprising lack of Stamina for someone who’s usually either chasing after or running from trouble. Vez’s tactical options are frequently limited by her aversion to cardio, leading her to hide or fight when she should really just be running.

Vez likes taking down big, terrifying people and then bragging about it on the holonet. Vez also likes staying alive. To reconcile those conflicting desires, the Mirialan makes a point of only engaging on her terms. She figures out her angle of attack before the mark even realizes she’s there, baits them in, and then tries like hell to take them out of commission before they wise up. Although she’s pretty handy in a fight, as often as not she gets by through sheer bravado. When her plans don’t pan out, she goes with the most flamboyant, reckless, high-risk and high-reward scheme that pops into her mind. Whether planned or unplanned, Vez’s fights tend to result in collateral damage and injury to everyone involved.
