Archived Character Sheet for Eiko

Obelisk Prelate Eiko

Equite, Clan Plagueis
Male Human, Obelisk, Seeker
Height: 1.7 m / 5'7" - Weight: 63.5 kg / 140 lbs
Age: 37 years - Right Handed
Physical Description

His dark brown hair is kept short and often obscured by his hood and mask. He lost the terminal three fingers of his left hand to Aran Tonor's lightsaber while fleeing Ione; the fingers are replaced by cybernetics that focus on silent operation and precision over speed.

Eiko rarely removes his mask - a handmade design that he is always adapting to suit his world. Covering his entire head down to his collar, it contains water bladders that can be hydrolyzed into oxygen and hydrogen, which is then used to power air scrubbers, optics, speakers, recorders, and vocal anonymizers. When required to remove his mask, he often wraps his face in fabric that will hide his distinctive scars. The right side of his face is dominated by burns he received on the Merciless, sometimes limiting his ability to speak clearly.

His clothing is usually simple, consisting of a black cloak wrapped completely around his body. Underneath the cloak, he wears his old House's unique Revanchist armor. In combat, he will drop the cloak from his shoulders to access the holster kept underneath his left arm. Outside of Brotherhood space, he will keep his lightsaber hanging from a quick-release point on the holster. Inside the Veil, he keeps his lightsaber at his belt, on his right side.

The Nek Walker (General Aspect)

Eiko was the last Quaestor of Revan, and its collapse at his hands rattled his self-confidence in ways that still haven't completely surfaced. When the House's intelligence networks were silenced and Eiko sought shelter on Antei, he was tormented by depression and anger. His focus turned to protecting himself at all costs, losing touch with all but his closest allies and diving deep into the study of his former House’s namesake. His experience leading, organizing, and utilizing a deep intelligence network is invaluable, but it has come at the cost of Eiko’s deepening paranoia and disgust at the traditional structures of the Brotherhood.

Self-Made Martyr (General Aspect)

During the Dark Crusade, Eiko offered himself as a sacrifice – a martyr for the cause of House Plagueis’s flagging morale. Together with the leaders of the House, he staged his own death on Ch’hodos and accepted a self-imposed exile in the hopes of pushing Plagueis on to victory. Whether because of misguided loyalty or a penchant for self-destruction, Eiko often gambles with his own well-being for the sake of the greater whole, or for those he truly cares about.

You’ll Want to Hear This (Personality Aspect)

Eiko’s connections across the Brotherhood and his history as an information broker have given him a glut of information – and that steady diet of secrets and rumors is the foundation on which he has built his place in the Brotherhood. He often has the ear of powerful figures, but he also lacks their intimate trust and friendship as every scrap of information is probably filtered and finely manipulated to keep Eiko in control of the situations around him.

A Funny Color of Grey (Personality Aspect)

Very few things in Eiko’s world are strictly black-and-white. “Mercy” and “patience” are a part of his vocabulary, and unlike many adherents of the Dark Side, he believes that there are merits to approaching problems from a multitude of angles. Second changes, while rare, are more common from Eiko than his peers, and if that leaves him with a reputation for being soft and sympathetic, as well as opening himself up for betrayal, then that’s just how it has to be.

Precise and Patient (Combat Aspect)

There is nothing Eiko hates more than losing control. He believes firmly that fights don’t start when sabers are drawn – they start moments before, and encompass a dozen different arenas besides the physicality of it all. The best fights are the ones that are surgically precise: short, direct, and final. No toying, no joy, no pity, and no decoration. Because of his tendencies, Eiko is an excellent duelist when he has time to prepare mentally, and suffers in anything but a one-on-one fight.

I’ve Been Buried Before (Combat Aspect)

Since his return to the Brotherhood, Eiko has shown a cautious streak. In the middle of a fight, when everything is on the line, Eiko knows that the next face he might see will be the face of death – and it terrifies him. He has had his life flash in front of his eyes too often to keep flirting with his own mortality. If he can avoid a dicey fight by talking, running, or bowing, Eiko will devote all his energy to the hope of making it out alive. He isn’t afraid of being called a coward, but it certainly colors the perceptions of those around him and leaves openings for those who would be more aggressive in their approach to warfare – unless Eiko is using his aversion to violence as bait for the foolhardy.
