  War XVII: Animus\n\nFor years\, *The Collective* has worked to destroy *T
 he Brotherhood*. Led by the increasingly unhinged *Rath Oligard*\, they ha
 ve led attacks on Brotherhood space again and again. Now\, their home has 
 been discovered\, the *Cor’neria System*. The time has come for the Brot
 herhood to press the assault against their long standing enemy. The deep a
 nd long gestating *animus* between these two factions has reached its inev
 itable conclusion. Peace is impossible\, one must *end*. \n\n*Animus* is a
  Dark Jedi Brotherhood Vendetta Event\, running from May 23rd to June 27th
 .\n\n### Event Phases\n\n* An **Event Long Phase** will run the entire dur
 ation of the Great Jedi War\n* **Phase I** of the Great Jedi War runs from
  May 23rd until June 6th\n* A **“Rest” Week** will occur from June 7th
  until June 12th\n* **Phase II** of the Great Jedi War runs from June 13th
  until June 27th \n\n### Participation\n\nCompetitions within each Phase a
 re organized into categories known as “Bins.” Each Bin represents a sp
 ecific type of competition\, allowing members to contribute across a varie
 ty of activities throughout the event.\n\nThe first time a member particip
 ates in a competition within a particular Bin during a Phase\, they will e
 arn the participation points associated with that Bin for their team. Addi
 tional entries within the same Bin are still encouraged and can earn place
 ment rewards\, but they will not grant additional participation points for
  that Bin.\n\nMembers can also earn bonus participation points by achievin
 g full participation within a Phase. This is accomplished by entering at l
 east one competition in every available Bin during that Phase.\n\nThe bonu
 s participation structure is as follows:\n\n* Phase I: +5 bonus participat
 ion points for completing all Bins\n* Phase II: +5 bonus participation poi
 nts for completing all Bins\n* Event Long Phase: +7 bonus participation po
 ints for completing all Bins\n\nIn addition to participation scoring\, ind
 ividual competitions will continue to award standard event rewards\, inclu
 ding Seals and Credits for participation.\n\nCompetitive placements will a
 lso be rewarded:\n\n* Members placing in the top three of a competition wi
 ll earn Novae\n* Members placing within the top ten in most competitions w
 ill earn placement points toward their Clan’s overall score\n* Members p
 lacing 4th through 10th will additionally receive Crescents\, ranging from
 :\n * Diamond Crescent for 4th place\n * Through to Quartz Crescent for 10
 th place\n\nWhether members choose to focus on a few competitions or parti
 cipate across every Bin\, every contribution will help strengthen their Cl
 an’s overall standing throughout the vendetta.\n\n### Placement and Hero
  Titles\n\nClans earn points throughout the event in two primary ways: thr
 ough member participation and through competitive placements.\n\nParticipa
 tion points are awarded when members enter competitions across the various
  competition types\, or “Bins\,” available during each Phase. Addition
 al points are earned when members place highly in competitions\, rewarding
  both broad participation and competitive performance.\n\nIn accordance wi
 th Brotherhood Vendetta regulations\, the Clan with the highest overall po
 int total at the conclusion of Great Jedi War XVII will be declared the Fi
 rst Clan of the Brotherhood. The Clans finishing with the second and third
  highest scores will be awarded the titles of Second Clan and Third Clan o
 f the Brotherhood\, respectively.\n\nOn the individual level\, the three m
 embers who accumulate the highest overall point totals during Great Jedi W
 ar XVII will be awarded prestigious War Hero titles in recognition of thei
 r performance and contributions throughout the event.\n\nIn the event of a
  tie in overall individual scoring\, rankings will be determined using an 
 Olympic-style tiebreaking system based on Novae earned and overall placeme
 nt performance across competitions.\n\nSpecific rules\, scoring criteria\,
  and placement details for each individual competition will be outlined wi
 thin that competition’s description. Competition details will also note 
 the relative weighting and scoring impact of placements for that particula
