DESCRIPTION:### Introduction  \n\nThis competition is a small team role-pla
 ying competition. It will take place in a thread of the #rp-lobby chat on 
 the Brotherhood’s Discord server. Each team is responsible for the creat
 ion and management of their RP thread\; the DC and Exarch Staff are availa
 ble to assist with any issues. \n\nMembers are encouraged to write multipl
 e posts throughout the event and to engage with the wider story as they se
 e fit. The overarching goal is for the team to attempt to complete the obj
 ective given in the prompt below.  \n\nEach team will have access to one [
 IC] and one [OOC] thread for the RP. All RP posts must go in the [IC] thre
 ad\; coordination and discussion about the RP should take place in the [OO
 C] thread. Each slotted character used by a member of the team should have
  a snapshot attached to the RP following the instructions in the [SA Rolep
 laying course](https://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/shadow_academy/courses/
 185-activities-104-roleplaying#generating-a-snapshot). **Teams are solely 
 responsible for creating and managing their RP thread. Each team should se
 lect a single member to create its RP**. Note that this event will award E
 nvoy Society progression based on Envoy Marks (but not Golden Envoy Marks)
 .\n\nIn order to keep this event fair and fun\, we have written a set of r
 ules unique to this event. These rules are specifically designed to allow 
 flexibility. Teams and Clans are expressly forbidden from asking members *
 not* to write.   \n\n### Sitrep  \n\nAfter years of conflict and assault f
 rom [The Collective](https://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/factions/the-coll
 ective)\, The Brotherhood has finally located the home of their great enem
 y and has begun an assault on the Cor’neria system. There\, they must fa
 ce off against the might of the fanatical Liberation Front\, the tactical 
 Capital Enterprises\, and the ruthless Technocratic Guild. \n\nWhile the C
 ollective takes a firm anti-Force stance\, their military is not to be tak
 en lightly. Heavily enhanced with cybernetics and linked together via adva
 nced AI systems\, their forces will push the Brotherhood to their limit. \
 n\nWhile primary military groups are engaged in the Cor’neria system\, a
  small team of capable Brotherhood members have been tasked with venturing
  deep behind enemy lines with a singular objective: **Find Rath Oligard.**

 ild\n\n### Rubric and Rules  \n\nThe RP will be graded following the [Voic
 e Fiction Rubric](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/125hThvIEweRL-nHD
 epON-PV-ixeC8zLp9xmYkI9wkM0/edit#gid=0).  \n\n* Teams must have 3-5 member
 s. They are not required to be from the same Clan.\n* Each Team’s RP mus
 t be named using the following convention: “GJW XVII - [Team Name]” wh
 ere “Team Name” is a unique name for the team. If we can’t find your
  RP thread\, we can’t grade it!  \n* For participation credit\, members 
 must post a minimum of at least 500 words in their team [IC] RP thread. Me
 mbers who post less than 500 words total will be disqualified. Posts may b
 e edited as per the Edit Rules below.\n* Teams must have at least three me
 mbers meet the 500 word requirement to be eligible for placement.  \n* Mem
 bers may write any of their slotted characters into the RP in addition to 
 their main characters. Snapshots must be provided\, and the use of those c
 haracters must comply with all other rules of this competition but we will
  not pay any attention to loadouts in grading and realism.\n* An author MA
 Y send consecutive messages in order to complete one coherent “post.” 
 Discord messages cannot exceed 2\,000 characters\, so multiple consecutive
  messages may be necessary for long posts – plan accordingly\, and be su
 re to write your posts outside of Discord and copy/paste them into the app
 lication if you anticipate them being longer than a few hundred words. For
  reference\, this bulleted list of rules is approximately 2\,000 character
 s long.\n* Authors anticipating the need for multiple messages can send pl
 aceholder messages that they later edit to fill in with sections of their 
 post\, to ensure that others do not interrupt a cohesive post. \n* Posts m
 ay be edited or deleted at any time\, but doing so may disrupt the flow of
  the RP and negatively impact your Team’s score.\n* Teams may freely int
 eract with\, and do as they please\, to any members of the factions. Note 
 that anything done to these characters is not canon for the NPC or Brother
 hood.  \n* Teams may also interact with any Brotherhood characters\, but p
 lease use good judgment when writing other members’ characters. \n* Once
  the RP is closed and processed by the Exarch staff\, only one member of t
 he team needs to submit the RP URL to the competition. It will auto add yo
 ur teammates.
