DESCRIPTION:# Introduction\n\nThis competition is a small team role-playing
  competition. It will take place in a thread of the #rp-lobby chat on the 
 Brotherhood’s Discord server. Each team is responsible for the creation 
 and management of their RP thread\; the Voice Staff and Exarch Staff are a
 vailable to assist with any issues.\n\nMembers are encouraged to write mul
 tiple posts throughout the event and to engage with the wider story as the
 y see fit. The overarching goal is for the team to attempt to complete the
  objective given in the prompt below.\n\nEach team will have access to one
  [IC] and one [OOC] thread for the RP. All RP posts must go in the [IC] th
 read\; coordination and discussion about the RP should take place in the [
 OOC] thread. Each main or alternative character used by a member of the te
 am should have a snapshot attached to the RP following the instructions in
  the [SA Roleplaying course](https://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/shadow_ac

 ms are solely responsible for creating and managing their RP thread. Each 
 team should select a single member to create its RP.** Note that this even
 t will award Envoy Society progression based on Envoy Marks (but not Golde
 n Envoy Marks).\n\n# Sitrep\n\nYou and a group of other pilots have just c
 ompleted a routine mission patrolling Brotherhood space.  The shift was a 
 long\, quiet\, boring one\, and you're all looking forward to returning ho
 me to get back to... well... whatever it is that your character does for f
 un.  Just as the group is about to split and head their separate ways an a
 lert rings out over your shipboard communications.  A group of pirate vess
 els are attempting to board and hijack a Brotherhood supply ship carrying 
 mission critical data and supplies.\n\nYour group is closest to the scene.
   The supply ship is holding off the pirates as best it can with their lim
 ited weaponry\, but if allowed\, the pirates will soon overwhelm the ship'
 s defenses and attempt to board.  You have been tasked with engaging the p
 irate vessels and eliminating them or causing them to flee with enough fea
 r instilled within them to never dare return to Brotherhood space.  How wi
 ll you and the ragtag team that has been assembled handle the challenge?\n
 \n# Rubric and Rules\n\nThe RP will be graded following the [Voice Fiction
  Rubric](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/125hThvIEweRL-nHDepON-PV-i
 xeC8zLp9xmYkI9wkM0/edit?gid=0#gid=0).\n\n* Teams must have 3-5 members. Th
 ey are not required to be from the same Clan.\n* Each Team’s RP must be 
 named using the following convention: “Lorefest August RP - [Team Name]
 ” where “Team Name” is a unique name for the team. If we can’t fin
 d your RP thread\, we can’t grade it!\n* For participation credit\, memb
 ers must post a minimum of at least 500 words in their team [IC] RP thread
 . Members who post less than 500 words total will be disqualified. Posts m
 ay be edited as per the Edit Rules below.\n* Teams must have at least thre
 e members meet the 500 word requirement to be eligible for placement.\n* M
 embers may write their alternative characters and NPCs into the RP in addi
 tion to their main characters. Snapshots must be provided\, and the use of
  alts/NPCs must comply with all other rules of this competition.\n* An aut
 hor MAY send consecutive messages in order to complete one coherent “pos
 t.” Discord messages cannot exceed 2\,000 characters\, so multiple conse
 cutive messages may be necessary for long posts – plan accordingly\, and
  be sure to write your posts outside of Discord and copy/paste them into t
 he application if you anticipate them being longer than a few hundred word
 s. For reference\, this bulleted list of rules is approximately 2\,000 cha
 racters long.\n* Authors anticipating the need for multiple messages can s
 end placeholder messages that they later edit to fill in with sections of 
 their post\, to ensure that others do not interrupt a cohesive post.\n* Po
 sts may be edited or deleted at any time\, but doing so may disrupt the fl
 ow of the RP and negatively impact your Team’s score.\n* Once the RP is 
 closed and processed by the Exarch staff\, only one member of the team nee
