Introductions

I'd like to thank Shadow Nighthunter for the opportunity to serve as Proconsul for Clan Scholae Palatinae yet again. Back in the mid-90s I was one of the original 33 members that founded House Scholae Palatinae. Over the years I've held a variety of positions within the Brotherhood. Ranging from Battleteam Leader and all applicable House/Clan leadership positions, to the Emissary of Consuls and Master-At-Arms.

Recognition

I would like to take a moment to personally thank Mauro Wynter for his service to Clan Scholae Palatinae. He joined the Clan during a period of restructuring that required considerable leadership attention. His partnership with Shadow Nighthunter led to considerable growth in terms of new leadership, active competition participation, and a reorganization of the Clan's possessions and Wiki presence.

Mauro and I have been in contact and had aligned on completed activities and key initiatives that should continue to be carried forward.

Priorities

As I begin the transition into the Proconsul role I am taking time to meet with the CSP Summit leadership to align to the current competitions and story plotlines that are in-flight and preparing for the forthcoming major competitions within the DJB.

I do want to share my main priorities for the Clan.

1) Reward and Recognition

We are a volunteer based community of active gamers, fiction writers, artists, and so much more. We give our time and talents to this club to build a deep, rich, universe based upon a shared love of the Star Wars universe.

As such, frequent, fair, recognition of contributions is my first priority. This doesn't mean a slew of merit medals but rather a consistent recognition that lets our clan members know that their activity is monitored and appreciated.

2) Epic Storylines and Engaging Competitions

Recently the Clan concluded another round of The Dark Times Saga expertly crafted by Dek Iron'yikut. I want to continue to develop and plot out multi-arc plot lines and multi-layered competitions that enable our clan members to "live" the experience. I have proposed and will begin drafting the tactical execution of a Writer's Room to develop these plot lines for the Clan.

3) Training & Development

Rome wasn't built in a day and neither are great leaders. Often a potential leader need coaching, feedback, and support to help them recognize their potential to be a leader. Once that individual takes the first step into leadership they must be nurtured along the path.

As such, I want to foster a growth mindset within our current leaders and aspiring leaders. Not having a title does not prevent you from identifying a project that needs to be done and seeing it through to completion. Where ever possible I will be seeking to engage aspiring leaders in unique projects to help further development and enrichment of CSP.
