Chelsie's tall, athletic frame is offset by her surprisingly soft, feminine features. While her long legs, broad shoulders, and curved hips are all lined with iron-corded muscle of a veteran athlete, she has full lips, a button nose, and bright blue eyes with long lashes. Her above average bust is easily noticeable, but compliments her height and weight nicely while staying proportionate to the rest of her frame. Her natural, coppery-red hair comes down to her chin, but she keeps it pulled back into a tail while combing her bangs over to either side of her forehead. Her most distinguishing feature, however, is the faded pink, triple claw-slash scar on her right cheek.
Chelsie "CC" Crimson is not afraid to be assertive when giving commands to others. She looks beyond gender, role, and status and simply views anyone she meets as an equally blank canvas' that is simply waiting to be shaped and molded to their true potential. Captain Crimson see's the best in people, and hopes to make her charges swift as the coursing river, with all the strength of a raging fire, and the force of a great typhoon. That said, Chelsie "CC" Crimson still struggles with working with soldiers that don't respect her simply because of her gender, which often leads to her having to work twice as hard as a male counterpart in one of the other factions.
With Collective resources typically siphoned into the more profitable Technocratic Guild, Chelsie "CC" Crimson has to work with what she is given. Often times this means not having the best tools or equipment for her troops, which can be disheartening to her otherwise dedicated focus on turning the Liberation Front recruits into a fighting force. For all that, Captain Crimson has earned the respect of Rath Oligard, and her devotion to the charismatic leader has been noted by more than a few in the upper-echelons of the Collective. She does well to remain professional around Rath, but finds herself often staring at his profile for longer than intended.
Chelsie "CC" Crimson didn't choose her surname, and certainly never planned to ever become a Captain of anything, really. While her reputation as "Captain Crimson" has taken on a life of it's own, she prefers her recruits, and those close to her, to simply call her "CC". While this insistence of formality can be endearing to some, Crimson still takes her job seriously and often struggles to find the balance between hard-nosed instructor and compassionate leader. This also makes her reputation somewhat double-edged, with the equal chance that she will be over or underestimated no matter how she carries herself.
Chelsie "CC" Crimson enjoys drinking, belching, lifting weights, doing work in the fields and all the things she was told not to do as a little girl growing up in the "civilized" core worlds. Outside of her role as Captain, Crimson is almost painfully comfortable with her sexuality and bodily functions. She will spit and swear, roll up her sleeves, and then sit down to knit a felt pouch for her grenades. She is comfortable walking around with dirt all over her face, but also enjoys cleaning up and getting to wear nice clothing that's not her armor. This makes it difficult for most to label or put her into a category, which can lead to mixed impressions and complicated interpersonal relationships.
Born with an intractable will and limitless courage, Chelsie "CC" Crimson will stand in the face of insurmountable odds and never retreat. Despite the fact that such acts of heedless bravery are inspiring and will sometimes result in victories worthy of song, just as often they result in her allies getting wounded or killed.
Chelsie "CC" Crimson has lived through more battles and scuffles than she can count. That hasn't been from luck alone, either. Crimson has experience in everything from bar room brawls to chaotic battlefields, and prides herself on her ability to adapt to any situation and with a wide range of tools and weapons. While one could argue her mastery of Blasters, she is not afraid to get her hands dirty in a good old, close-quarters slug-fest.
Her repeated success in not just training recruits into soldiers, but in leading operations from the front, has made her name both feared and respected to the enemies of the Lberation Front and now the Collective. Easily identifiable thanks to her preference of thematically black and red armor, the title of "Captain Crimson" is both a strength and weakness as it easily marks her as a target on battlefields. Similarly, it can serve as a beacon of hope and inspire the troops around her.
