Physical Description

Kird Narrone can be considered an extremely typical example of the Bothan species. Of a lean build and average height, his long-broad features lack any discerning scars or blemishes which helps him to be singled out. Besides the pair of intertwined lengths of hair which run beneath his muzzle, the pale brown hair is kept close-cropped to his head, while his sandy toned fur is neatly combed. This unremarkable appearance is something that Narrone actively cultivates as a result of his profession. The only true exception to this are his golden eyes, which are set beneath a hooded brow, and gives Narrone a naturally stern expression. The only true markings which might make Narrone stand out are a few old wounds, each easily hidden by the right clothing. A fading scar from a blaster bolt adorns one shoulder, along with a number of smaller slash markings across one side of his body. A slight indentation against the thigh of one leg is all that remains of a bad break from some years ago. Carrying himself with a direct and purposeful manner, Narrone conveys a precise and controlled body language. Approaching most things in a brisk walk, he remains tense and ready to break into a run at a moment’s notice.

Loadouts

Raider Kird Narrone has not created any public loadouts yet.

A Man Chooses, A Slave Obeys (General Aspect)

Narrone’s association with authority has turned him into a walking contradiction. Born a slave within the Principate prior to its reformation, the only authority he will truly accept is his own. Yet just as he desires personal power and control of any situation, the duties of any leadership role eat away at him. When taking full charge of a situation, the responsibility of it runs counter to his deeply ingrained sense of looking out for number one. This leaves Narrone torn between feelings of self-interest and safeguarding the welfare of others.

The Last One Standing (General Aspect)

A lifetime in service to the Principate’s underworld elements has left Narrone with a well-honed sense of self-preservation. With betrayal and abuse common within various criminal groups, his work as a freelance Slicer always left him in a precarious position. Although far from a coward, this has left him with an instinct for when to fight, when to cut and run, and what is required in order to survive. This has shaped Narrone into a cynical and antisocial individual, one who can survive among the worst of people, but struggles to accept any inherent goodness in others. Whatever compassion he might have once possessed has been replaced, scab by scab, by abuse and betrayal. This has left him unable to simply accept benevolence or even optimism without extreme suspicion.

Staying With You Requires a Degree of Stupidity of Which I No longer Feel Capable (Personality Aspect)

Alliances exist only for as long as they remain beneficial. Narrone will work with others for however long he believes they benefit him personally. These are typically short-lived ventures, existing as a temporary measure until all involved have gained what they desire before parting ways. Because of this, Narrone will join up with others more out of convenience than anything else, and his behaviour among them reflects this. His nature as a loner means that he is far more willing to cite weak-links in operations than more sociable individuals. This ranges from the group as a whole, to plans, or even individuals. While these are typically on point, more often than not they are delivered without concern for morale. This makes Narrone as much an asset as a liability when working with others.

The Snark Knight (Personality Aspect)

With a seemingly endless arsenal of insults, Narrone is a veteran in delivering dry sardonic commentary. Such verbal jabs are typically aimed at the skills or views of others, and can be worked into seemingly any situation. As with all things, these are used to Narrone’s personal gain, as he pointedly uses them to turn situations to his advantage. From distracting others to provoking responses, these cutting remarks are used to help him manipulate enemies and allies alike. While these can turn a situation to his advantage, misreading a situation can lead to him pushing others too far; provoking an undesired hostile response or undermining those he is allied with.

Well, It's the Safest Way, Isn't It? (Combat Aspect)

Rules of combat are reserved for only two groups of people: The stupid and the suicidal. Narrone is more than happy to use any means at his disposal to ensure he remains alive. Pre-emptive back-stabbing? He was just faster. Shooting someone in the back? Merely sensible. Killing a barracks worth of soldiers in their sleep? It was them or him. With few scruples and a willingness to stack the deck in his favour, Narrone always fights with the aim of surviving at all costs. This ruthlessness is tempered by his intelligence, as Narrone at least recognizes when brutality can lead to more trouble than it is worth. Yet this has proven to only be a far-greater double-edged sword. To some, he is too unfettered to be trusted. To others, he lacks the unrestrained bloodlust to be a worthwhile asset. This leaves Narrone isolated, save for the most temporary of alliances.

They’re More Like Guidelines (Combat Aspect)

No plan survives contact with the enemy. Because of this, Narrone favours simple guidelines over intricate strategies. These are typically a series of general goals and planned impacts, based upon factors that are least likely to change. Because of this, Narrone can easily work in no small measure of unplanned ingenuity or workaround unforeseen complications. This odd balance has allowed Narrone’s plans to continue through catastrophic failures and continue with few alterations. This way of thinking is easy to quickly formulate and apply to changing circumstances. In theory, it takes the best aspects of both meticulous planning and simply winging it when things go wrong. In practice, he falls short when confronting true manipulators. Unless he is in total control of the situation, Narrone can be blindsided by broader strategic thinking.
