Wilhuff Tarkin
Current Character Sheet
Physical Description
Tall and gaunt, Tarkin is an imposing figure. His red hair has faded almost entirely to grey and his hairline is receding slightly. His face is defined by sunked eyes peeking over prominent cheek bones, with his expression fixed in an almost permanent scowl. On the rare occasion that he is out of uniform, Tarkin is almost certainly wearing something practical for the situation.

General Aspects
Charming to the Last
Tarkin remembers fighting alongside the Jedi in the Clone Wars, and he's fully away of the awesome power wielded by Vader and Palpatine. He is impressed, but never cowed. Tarkins remembers that it was the military that destroyed the Jedi Order, and has complete - perhaps too complete - confidence in his ability to counter Force-users through mundane means.
Despite hailing from a backwater planet in the Rim, Tarkin is still nobility. Tarkin's speech and mannerisms reflect the most august and refined traits of the galactic upper crust as a way of compensating for his rural roots. He derives perverse enjoyment when his refinement and civility outshine aristocrats from more prestigious worlds.

Personality Aspects
The Carrion Spike
After six decades of constant and unprecedented successes, Tarkin has absolute confidence in his abilities. He's willing to take risks other, less capable commanders would shy away from. So far this has served him well, but his luck may run out...
For Tarkin, it's not enough merely to end this fight - he has to utterly destroy the enemy's ability to defy him ever again. The handful of Tarkin's enemies who suffer his wrath and live to tell the tale find themselves without the resources to fight him through conventional means. The very few who can muster the will to remain in the fight must find alternate, unpredictable methods
Rule by Fear of Force...
Combat Aspects
...Rather than Force Itself
Tarkin is a brutal warrior. His liberal use of field executions, torture, and attacks on civilian populations have made his widely feared by friend and foe alike. If given the option between a peaceful solution and a destructive one, Tarkin is more inclined to take the darker path.
Tarkin prefers, whenever possible, to end fights before they start through threats and intimidation. He ensures that he always has the energy and resources to win a fight by not squandering them on anything that isn't critical. Generally, his fearsome reputation cows his opponents into submission, but his terror tactics have been known to backfire. Fiesty characters who don't take kindly to threats may double down in their opposition.
