"Khar Shian Campus: Brotherhood Basics"
1—Introduction
Greetings. This course has but one goal: to make certain the taker understands more of the Brotherhood, beyond the essentials that were offered in the Test of Lore. This test will also introduce you to the Brotherhood’s primary sources of information beyond other members. This test isn’t required, but it is highly recommended that all new members take it.
2—What is this Brotherhood thing?
The Brotherhood is a diverse group of Star Wars fans who have come together to meet and have fun. Being online, the Brotherhood attracts people from all over the world, each coming with their own skills and talents. The Brotherhood hosts countless competitions centered around online gaming and writing. This is the practical part of the Brotherhood, but the Brotherhood also has a fictional side.
You are encouraged to develop a character that might exist in the Star Wars universe (much like a role playing game, but with far less concern about personal stats and completely lacking in dice). You can advance in rank (noting growing skill in using the Dark Side) and you can earn a variety of medals, seals, and scrolls that denote your activity and accomplishments.
The Brotherhood is organized into several large units, called clans, and these units are further sub-divided into houses, which may in turn be divided into battleteams. All of these units have their respective leaders who lead their units in competitions, whether they are creating them for their own members, or leading their unit to victory over others in larger competitions. The ruling body of the Brotherhood is the Dark Council, consisting of the six clan leaders (Consuls) and seven non-clan members, including the Grand Master.

3—Where to find the information
Unlike most other Shadow Academy courses, the information you need to know is not provided in these notes. Instead, you will be directed to sources, though you’ll have to find the information within those sources yourself. This is done so that you will actually be introduced to the sources and become at least loosely familiar with them. Please note that none of the exam questions are actually answered on this page. Your primary sources include:
Don’t ask anyone for help with this exam. You shouldn’t need to anyway. It is highly recommended that you read at least the Codex before taking the exam.

4—Conclusion
This test should not be terribly difficult. It’s mainly about finding the information, getting introduced to the resources, and learning things that are important and useful in everyday things in the Brotherhood.
The test is a bit longer than other Shadow Academy exams, but it should go pretty quick. The exam covers both practical and fictional aspects of the Brotherhood.
As with all Shadow Academy exams, you must have passed your Test of Lore before taking this exam.
The answer to every question in this exam may be found in at least one, if not more, of the above sources
