As posted on the DB news page:

Greetings everyone,

Sad news from the summit offices in CNS this week: Consul Korras is stepping down. For those of you who don't know Korras well, I don't know what rock you've been living under. This is a member that flew through the ranks and took on leadership positions from the start. He has served for long periods of time as Proconsul (twice) and Consul and he also had a very successful tenure as our Obelisk High Commander. Korras has helped to build CNS into a powerhouse of activity today and has instigated changes into the Brotherhood that have taken us a long way.

The good thing is that Korras isn't going to go far. He may not know it yet, but there's no way he can stay away. Korras is one of the DB's greatest "people persons." He can talk to everyone and always takes up the proper cause. Once he gets a bit of his pazaz back after a break, I have no doubt that Korras will be firing it up on IRC and trying to improve the DB once more.

I normally shy away from giving any sort of retirement gifts, but this one is an exception...because it wasn't planned as a retirement gift at all. Kaek, Goat and I have regular conversations about who to reward for their efforts, and in our last conversation (before we knew of Korras stepping down) we had decided that is was high time that Korras get more than that SB on his dossier.

Korras, for your influential service as Consul, Proconsul and Obelisk High Commander, for your time as Left Hand of Justice, for your constant activity in the debates regarding changes to the DB, for your advocacy of Members' rights, for your unending drive to see things done right, for your great leadership in the clan through the feud and most of the GJW, and for being a great friend to all, we hereby award you with an Emerald Dagger. Congratulations, and thanks.

With that said, I still unfortunately have to find someone to fill Korras's big shoes. That person was not far off -- the Proconsul of Naga Sadow, Manesh, will be taking the reigns of the clan. I have seen Manesh grow into a great leader; he has been essential in CNS's effort in the War. I trust that he will do an excellent job in leading the clan. Congratulations, Manesh.
Korras has been a great leader for my clan. He has also shown me that my leaders care about me, the little guy, just as much as the next guy. When I had an issue that had to do with this GJW I thought my leadership was ignoring me, the little guy, but then I saw what Korras had been doing behind the scenes. He fought hard for me to get a response in a reasonable time so I would not have to lose out on a great opportunity. I had become disheartened by the whole war by this time and he reminded me that I do count and am a valuable player. Without Korras I would not have made 5th place in the ACC event. I think Korras deserves to receive the biggest and best award there is out there. If not for Korras I'd have gone Rogue and never come back.

DJK Sharmin Wheyes (Krath)/TYR/Marka Ragnos of Naga Sadow [ACC: CL:1]

Korras has been a vital and important part of our Clan since day one. He has worked hard to protect the rights of the individuals, and to allow each individual to have the ability to participate. His positive outlook helped make the Clan stronger, despite all the storms that buffeted it from time to time. Although he didn't have to, much of the politics that are involved in the higher levels were kept out of the Clan, so that the members could just focus on having fun. For these reasons, and for many others, I would recommend Korras for an award deemed appropriate for his level of dedication and commitment. ~Kat Pridemore

Krath Archpriestess Kat Pridemore Proconsul of Clan Naga Sadow

I appreciated Korras a lot when I was his Proconsul. I think he took a lot of unnecessary crap from people in the clan, mainly from militant members of our clan who want to control it. What's funny is that this entire time, people would come to complain to me, giving me the impression that there was a "Korras" faction in CNS, and a "Manesh" faction. Of course, I didn't have a problem with Korras. I thought he was good, and able to deal with the Dark Council better than I would ever be able to. People criticized Korras for not doing certain things, but if he had done them, it would have been a duplication of effort between the two of us. I honestly never thought that Korras failed the clan, I feel that the clan failed Korras. Trust me, now that I'm the Consul, I'm getting some of the same crap from the membership, and so I completely empathize.

During the Great Jedi War, there were times where one of our members felt slighted by the rules. And while I'd start freaking out over it, Korras actually did things. He confronted those members of the Dark Council responsible, and fought for those members. Unfortunately, those efforts went unappreciated.

I asked several people to submit recommendations for this award, and I got a handful of responses. Some people do not like Korras, but from my new perspective as Consul, I've discovered that some of those people have unfairly judged him. In 2006, being the Consul of Clan Naga Sadow has become the toughest job in the Dark Brotherhood. Being Consul is like performing at the Apollo. It's a tough crowd, and they wille eat you alive.

It is unfortunate that Korras's career ends like this. I really do hope he comes back to activity at the DB-wide level, because he has the skills and responsibility to really impact the Dark Brotherhood for the better. I mean, look at the Obelisk Rite of Supremacy he ran. That was the smoothest, most interesting operation I've ever seen in the Dark Brotherhood. He's one of the good ones.
