Thank you to Sarin, Muz, Raken, and the rest of the team!

Folks,

I have been in the DB for a long time. I have overseen two vendettas, and participated in four now. I can say without hesitation that this Vendetta we just concluded was the best among them. I think it was head and shoulders above the rest.

The story was amazing. Raken: you and those who helped you come up with and write this deserve our gratitude for taking the DB in a direction that most would be too hesitant to do. The DB losing for once was a brave and bold move that I thoroughly enjoyed.

The administration was great. Muz: you were quick and efficient. There are very few people who know what it takes to grade this many entries. I remember what it's like. I am ever impressed with your ability to keep the results updated.

The leadership was flawless. Sarin: I could not have, and did not ever, pull off such a great GJW. I doubt many others could either. I hope this becomes the hallmark for your entire tenure as GM.

The rest of the DC: amazing work. You've stepped it up this time. Bravo.

Thank you for this great Vendetta.

Grand Master Jac Cotelin

I'll echo Jac's sentiments on this as well. For someone who has been active in the last few GJWs, and having helped run one of these DB-wide competitions, I know how much work these guys went through in bringing all of this together. They deserve as much thanks for putting it altogether as those who participated deserve our congratulations.

Well done, guys.

Can't put it better than that. Nice job all. Damn good GJW.

As someone who's wanted to see the Vong show up for a few years now, I was apprehensive at first to finally see it happen, but I'm pleased to be able to say I felt it was done well. The decision to have us lose was a brave one which I also enjoyed and which I assume will lead to an equally good GJW8.

Maybe it's just because being at the bottom end again you don't notice so much, but I felt as if it ran smoothly too. I didn't notice any major hiccups at least. I was able to just get on with and enjoy this GJW, which was a nice contrast compared to the hair pulling out of the last two.

All in all, all those who had a hand in its creation deserve a pat on the back for producing one of the best competitions I've seen in some time.

I think Jac needs some chapstick. Here you go, buddy. Pass that around after you're finished.

But actually, that was a pretty decent Vendetta, and you guys do deserve to stand proud for a few. There were issues, but there always are. There was a lot of work put into it, and that's commendable.

Jac said it, you guys did great. Really loved it.

No vendetta can ever be perfect; nonetheless, this was much better than a lot of previous competitions, and the hosts deserve praise for their work. Just don't let it get to your heads. :P

I don't normally tell people they've done a good job because 9 times out of 10, they haven't. But I'll make an exception in this case.

Good jobs guys. As BF said, it wasn't perfect but it was far closer to perfect than a lot of them have been.

Well I am really new here, but I joined the last week of the GJW and I was encouraged to compete and I did. I loved the storyline, it was great fun thinking up fiction for it, and as someone thats never seen any other of your competitions, speaking purely as someone that stepped right off the SA docks into this. I had a blast, it was easy to find, easy to ready the storyline, it was easy to get right into the thick of it, and most of all everyone was very encouraging to me to participate. I don't know about any other events, just this one. If this one is the standard by which you all create events for us...all I can say is bravo to you all.

The topics were boring, same thing over and over again. Everything else was well done, and I hope we always get a real good story to go with the larger competitions now. Best DB fiction Ii read in a very long time.
