Mees Rogg is a Togorian of about average height for his species. His brownish-grey fur and emerald green eyes convey a certain air of intelligence, whilst his shaggy, almost unkempt mane suggest that he is perhaps a little uninterested in his appearance.
Mees Rogg's skills as a medic are not just limited to holo-books and lectures. He has read up and practiced a handful of experimental treatments while inventing a few home remedies of his own. This allows Mees Rogg to work outside the box in less than ideal situations, and can lead to him solving mysteries other trained medics might struggle with. This, of course, comes with its own string of failures, as nothing is ever perfect. That, and some of the more established professionals in the field often doubt or question Mees Rogg's alternative practices. He typically brushes them off in favor of doing everything he can to help a patient, but does quietly seek recognition for accomplishments as a healer.
For a medic, Mees Rogg is very spiritual. He believes that every thinking being possesses a soul, and that the death of one's body is not necessarily the end of their life. Whilst he has never actually seen a ghost, Mees will often be certain that a location is either haunted or possesses some kind of aura. The recent encounter between the Severian Principate and the Dark Brotherhood only strengthened Mees' belief in the existence of a soul as he came across a large number of Force sensitives.
This belief occasionally affects Mees just enough to slow down his pace of work as he wonders if 'something' is watching him.
Mees Rogg is a lateral thinker, and when he encounters problems or dilemmas, he is very good at improvising and coming up with alternative solutions. This allows Mees Rogg to find ways out of situations others might give up on. While these solutions are often not so obvious to others, Mees Rogg can typically explain and lead others through his plan...as long as they are patient and willing enough to trust him outside thinking.
In spite of the many technological marvels available to him, Mees prefers simpler, more traditional methods. Whilst he accepts that bacta has its place, he feels that the best way to look after a patient is often little more than a few bandages and a good dose of bedside manner.
This rather stubborn belief has sometimes led to Mees taking far longer than necessary to deal with a patient, but the Togorian remains steadfastly opposed to modernising 'too much'.
Mees Rogg doesn't like to kill people; instead he chooses to injure his opponent until that person is unable to fight back or is otherwise incapacitated.
Mees considers himself to be a medic, and little else. He tends to avoid the battlefield until the skirmish is already over, hanging back in a medical facility for as long as possible. Whilst he can shoot a blaster, he doesn't particularly enjoy the idea of being involved in a fight.
This reluctance to get involved with the fight is sometimes mistaken for cowardice, leaving Mees somewhat unpopular among some of his more hardened colleagues.
