After all, if everyone is too busy whining and groaning about the negatives, how will anyone ever reach the positive? True, Kay Alesko's constant belief that things will get better can be terribly grating, especially to pessimists or those just level-headed enough to realize when things truly are going downhill, but Kay Alesko's constant positive outlook can serve to sometimes spur others to action when it feels like the world just wants them to lay down and die.

While Kay Alesko will see a job through to its conclusion and put forward her best effort, it’s still just a job. Kay Alesko's true loyalties lie to her friends, and through thick and thin,she will stand by them and die for them if needed. This loyalty is reserved for those who have earned Kay Alesko's trust, putting her at odds with other Mercenaries that are only doing a job for the money. This also makes it harder for employers to trust her motives, often times creating extra competition and difficulty finding work. None of it matters to Kay Alesko, though, because loyalty to her friends is not something credits can buy.

While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Kay Alesko's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. She becomes focused and quiet, with her smile replaced with a look of grim determination.

Kay Alesko prefers to push the rules to the absolute limit. While she is unlikely to actually break rules or disobey orders, she toes the line between what is allowed and what isn't at every opportunity.

Born with an intractable will and limitless courage, Kay Alesko will stand in the face of insurmountable odds and never retreat. Despite the fact that such acts of heedless bravery are inspiring and will sometimes result in victories worthy of song, just as often they result in her allies getting wounded or killed.

Kay Alesko possesses a single minded drive for victory, and a deep-seated martyr complex. When presented with a chance to wade into battle versus overwhelming odds, Kay Alesko does not hesitate, and instead rushes in, relying on skill, fate or chance to let her survive.
