Rayjax grew up in the forests of Kashyyyk and continues to hold a deep love for the outdoors and nature. He carries a certain reverence for life and the spirit of nature. He also doesn’t see the mechanical creations of sentient life as in conflict with the natural spirit of the universe. Quite the opposite, Rayjax sees all mechanical things as containing a spark of life.

This extends beyond droids and ships to the most mundane and simple mechanical objects. Datapads, blasters, comm devices, repulsor lifts, all have a spark of life and connection to the grand spirit of the universe. This leads to him being overly protective of mechanical items and carrying a distrust of anyone who views them as mere tools.

Rayjax is the arc welder, binding together the conflicting concepts of nature and machine.

Rayjax loves to tinker and build. He feels idle hands are the devil’s playground. He is nearly always working on something, be it fixing up his ship, speeder bike, droids, or some new and bizarre machination. Even when involved in serious conversation, Rayjax finds himself tinkering away. Those closest to him know not to take it personally, as he really is still listening and involved with what is going on. Others, however, find it incredibly rude and often take offense to the Wookiee’s less than focused interactions.

By and large, Rayjax is a walking tool box, always on the job of tinkering and fixing.

Rayjax, for better or worse, will stick with his family no matter the cost. This can be difficult given the volatile nature of the Bounty Hunting business, along with Idris Adenn’s heavily vice driven lifestyle. Rayjax finds himself often having to reorient his crew to focus on the job at hand. The Wookiee is viewed as “the responsible one” on the crew. While not the technical leader of the crew, Rayjax is the one everyone knows they can turn to should things go south.

Rayjax is the hydrospanner, tightening the focus of those around him, and keeping them in a secure place.

Rayjax has lived as the lowest of the low. Captured by slavers on his homeworld of Kashyyyk, He was stripped of all autonomy and sense of self-worth. He existed merely because he was forbidden from dying. He understands the dark abyss of despair as well as anyone. Having navigated through that abyss alone, he knows it is always better and easier to get out of it with a helping hand. A gentle giant, Rayjax strives to help everyone he knows feel good about themselves. This often leads to him attempting to help complete strangers just because he can.

Rayjax is the jack, seeking to elevate everyone he meets to a better emotional state.

Between his life as a slave and being best friends with Idris Adenn, Rayjax has seen plenty of violence. He has a deep respect for life, but will not hesitate to kill if it is absolutely necessary. However, Rayjax much prefers to keep anyone he is facing alive. The Wookiee looks to subdue and incapacitate those he fights rather than kill. The manner of subduing his opponents usually falls into whatever ends the fight quickly, be it shattering bones, ripping limbs from sockets, or providing an incredibly tight Wookiee hug of submission to knock out his opponents.

This has backfired on more than one occasion where Rayjax has believed his opponent is down for the count, only to find they are very much still persevering on. Rayjax is the clamp, looking to restrain his opponents from further combat.

Rayjax does not subscribe to the line of thought that combat is a dance. Combat is to neutralize a threat, and from his point of view, that is best-accomplished head-on. Be it using his superb Wookiee strength, shooting with a blaster, or swinging steel to crack bone, Rayjax goes straight for the finisher.

This leads to frustration when facing enemies who do enjoy the ebb and flow of combat movement. The longer the Rayjax finds himself unable to subdue his enemy, the more enraged he becomes. Attacks become wilder in an attempt to finish the battle, and his own defenses drop in that attempt. Rayjax is the hammer, looking to finish and move on in one single blow.
