Through a combination of preparing, studying, and analyzing, Obil creates detailed battle plans and tries to think two steps ahead of the enemy. At times, however, this can lead to Obil creating complicated schemes that can baffle less intelligent subordinates.

Obil will never go into any situation head-on. Whether it be combat or just strolling down the street, they will stick to the shadows or cloak themself in the Force. The less they are seen, the better. If they cannot sneak up on someone, then Obil will not bother confronting them.

Obil has a tendency to be secretive and keeps to themself, relying on deception to conceal their motives and intentions. They are a schemer, and plot and plan against others carefully. When dealing with a confrontation, they will try and bluff their way out of trouble, or overcome obstacles with deliberate, covert actions.

Obil doesn't do anything without first having a plan, and is constantly overheard advising others to always “think through their exits”. Every movement they make—be it combative, manipulative or otherwise—is premeditated and thought out ahead of time. This foresight often places Obil two steps ahead of their peers. However, when plans go awry, Obil often has to first backtrack those same two steps to address the present, and that hesitation can often be line between success and failure in the heat of a situation.

Without the gift of the Force, Obil has trained rigorously with a wide range of melee weaponry and technology to better handle opponents that are able to harness the mythical power. Obil has been conditioned to fight against foes that are Force-sensitive and are able to compensate against fighting an adversary wielding something as deadly as a lightsaber. While this adaptive combat training makes them lethal in close quarters combat against any kind of threat, they are still at the mercy of a long ranged fighter, assailant or Force user that prefers to attack the mind instead of the body.

Obil wears out their opponents through use of the Force, agility, and evasion. Once they have sufficiently tired their foes through the Force, physical, or mental assault, they quickly try to find a means of cleanly and swiftly dispatching them - usually resulting in a somewhat risky all-or-nothing attempt at a deathblow.
