Someone in Zàne’s past was killed and he has vowed to avenge their death. Should the object of his vengeance be discovered, he is likely to to do whatever he can to exact revenge, no matter the cost.

Zàne sees himself as the control subject in the science experiment called life. Often labeled as "boring" and "predictable", Zàne keeps his wild and experimental side reserved for pet projects. This boring lifestyle leads to him being considered anti-social and when he does join others, instead of relaxing he prefers to keep quiet and observe.

While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Zàne's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. He becomes focused and quiet, with his smile replaced with a look of grim determination.

Zàne doesn't do anything without first having a plan, and is constantly overheard advising others to always “think through their exits”. Every movement he makes—be it combative, manipulative or otherwise—is premeditated and thought out ahead of time. This foresight often places Zàne two steps ahead of his peers. However, when plans go awry, Zàne often has to first backtrack those same two steps to address the present, and that hesitation can often be line between success and failure in the heat of a situation.

Through careful study and dedication to isolated martial-combat, Zàne has turned the act of dueling into an art form. A keen eye and attention to detail allows him the ability to learn their opponent's idiosyncrasies while fighting. Zàne then uses his own skills to capitalize on the opponent's weakness. Because of this calculated approach to isolated duels, Zàne has a harder time taking on multiple opponents at once at higher skill levels.

Zàne doesn't like to kill people; instead he chooses to injure his opponent until that person is unable to fight back or is otherwise incapacitated.
