Ryuu has finer features than most, with eyes the color of moonlight and his black hair is shaved lightly at the sides, leaving short but fine, soft scruff covering most of his skull. Longer bangs feather out in a wind-blasted plume over his forehead, while the rest of his hair is pulled into a shaggy, layered high tail at the back of his head. He wears close-cropped stubble on his upper lip and chin. The thickness of his muscles wasn't anything out of the norm for a physically inclined teenager. They don't approach the volume of an adult's body, but while being boyish his chest, abdominal, and arm muscles are heavily toned and firm, similar to a statue. However, unlike a statue, his pale skin is crisscrossed all over with scars, most of them are cuts and punctures, but there are minor burns in many placed, it is not a body raised in a usual way.
Be it during a fight or life in general, moral compass means little to Ryuu Suoh. If you don’t want a person harmed, you had better specify. General terms mean nothing to him as Ryuu Suoh only deals in specifics. If the rules of a duel say you can’t shoot before the count of three? A grenade over the shoulder is fair game, then. Tell Ryuu Suoh to stop someone at all costs, well, you better not be concerned if they’re brought back dead or alive.
Ryoma maintains an ascetic style of living, not owning many possessions and not seeking out anything to fulfill his desires. He maintains his physique by practicing martial arts and his mind via meditation. He carries a general indifference to things outside of his control. Despite this, or because of this, he maintains a strong sense of honor, and tries to act in a way that wouldn’t dishonor himself. This outlook at life, and general lifestyle has made interpersonal skills nearly non-existent.
While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Ryuu Suoh's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. He becomes focused and quiet, with his smile replaced with a look of grim determination.
Ryoma has a strong sense of honor and goes out of his way to act in a way that, to him, would maintain that honor. He has a moral code and uses that to guide his actions, choosing to stick to his beliefs even at the detriment of himself. If he were to ever break the code, and thus lose his honor, he would go to any means to atone for it, even if that meant he had to die. Ryoma actively looks down upon people who he considers to be honorless, thinking them to be lesser. This outlook has caused him no small means of strife throughout his life.
Where most err on the side of caution in a confrontation, Ryuu Suoh prefers to charge in head-first. While others may skirt a battlefield or keep their careful distance, Ryuu Suoh rushes in with devastating attacks with seemingly no regard for safety, relying upon instinct and possibly armor to protect him from dismemberment and death during his all-out attacks. Ryuu Suoh is a force to be feared on the battlefield, leaving a trail of death and destruction. However, Ryuu Suoh's blood-hungry ways put him in far more danger than the normal combatant, often resulting in needless injury and suffering, trading safety for pure offensive ability.
Born with an intractable will and limitless courage, Ryuu Suoh will stand in the face of insurmountable odds and never retreat. Despite the fact that such acts of heedless bravery are inspiring and will sometimes result in victories worthy of song, just as often they result in his allies getting wounded or killed.
