Jeckt is not a man you often find in any area of space for long. He's here one minute, gone the next. At least, that's how it seems to anyone around him. The truth of it is that Jeckt is, at heart, an eternal wanderer. He wants to see the wonders of the galaxy as a free man. To him, there's nothing more beautiful.

Although he always forms an initial plan, Jeckt uses purely improvisatory problem solving methods in the field. Acting before fully knowing what he's doing, he is able to take advantage of fleeting opportunities others might miss, but he can also get himself into trouble by not thinking his choices through.

Jeckt didn't choose the life of a treasure hunter; it chose him. Originally just a means to fund his freedom and satisfy his wanderlust, he has since felt the call to adventure and discovered his life's purpose. He is never happier than when on the hunt for a forgotten artifact or lost treasure on some distant world, and planting his feet for too long finds him with an emptiness and longing that can only be satisfied by another journey into the void.

Jeckt has no memories of a time where he wasn't alone and on the move. He has always been transient and by himself, and that's okay with him. Easy going and agreeable with a dry sense of humor and caustic wit, he is easy to work with and can often find himself well liked despite his privacy and reclusiveness. As his reputation grows with each adventure completed and treasure found, he finds himself thrust into social situations more frequently. And though he doesn't hate the company of others, it is difficult making real connections when he is always happiest and most comfortable as he's always been. On his own amongst the stars.

Jeckt knows that he's the fastest gun in the sector. Any sector. He's rarely one to instigate, but his tends to be the first gun drawn and fired. While this can quickly end a fight before it really begins, or at least begin one advantageously, it also means that he is at a disadvantage if conflict breaks out before he can make his move.

Jeckt is a man who is calm and even tempered even under severe pressure. He isn't easily goaded or provoked into a fight unless it's his desire, but once he has chosen to engage, he maintains his cool demeanor and poise, stepping unflinchingly into the fray. Highly skilled in both gunslinging and hand-to-hand combat, he is confident and utterly fearless, looking all challengers in the eye with a wry smile. This bravado, however, can cause him to walk directly into harms way and make himself far more vulnerable than was necessary.
