Physical Description

Iphis is a Hapan female with fair skin and straight, thick, pale blonde hair. She is exceptionally tall without the athletic build to support it, more willowy and coltish than amazonian.

Iphis has a heart-shaped face with a distinct jawline tapering to a pointed chin, set atop a long, delicate neck. Her nose is relatively narrow with a slightly pointed tip. She has a cruel mouth with full lips and a prominent cupid's bow. She has expressive eyes with a noticeable upward tilt at the outer corners. Her eyebrows are well-defined and dark, contributing to the intensity of their gaze.

Iphis would epitomize pureblood Hapan beauty if not for her eyes and the fact that her right arm is missing from the mid-humerus down, replaced with a skeletal, gilded cybernetic. While her eyes are striking, the sheer intensity of their emerald green color is inhuman, and their vibrancy makes her skin and hair look washed out and lifeless in comparison.

Contrasted with the rest of her features, Iphis' eyes and height underscore a sense that she is not quite the sum of her parts. It's as if she had been cobbled together from a small group of individually gorgeous women whose individual aspects don't match. Her build is lithe and delicate and she would be dainty if not for her height; she is tall and imposing, or would be if she had the frame to back it up. Her bone structure and facial features share perfect bilateral symmetry, an effect ruined entirely by her mismatched arms.

Alas, I have a Bad Personality, and a Stupefying Deficit of Attention (General Aspect)

Iphis plays up being a decadent, shallow mean girl. She really is one, but her public persona can exaggerate these tendencies to the point of caricature. She pretends to forget people’s names, has prepared flowery put downs she can inflict onto which target is convenient, and will push people's buttons if there’s nothing better to do.

Assuming that this means she cares about others’ opinions of her would be a mistake, however. Ultimately, other people are merely extras in the background of her starring role in life, hardly worth the sustained attention. She’ll play along with insults, lightsaber-measuring contests, and torrid love affairs so long as they're amusing her, but when they inevitably become tedious, Iphis moves on without fanfare.

My Sweet, I Only Die of Longing for Thee (General Aspect)

The facade of the listless and vapid Hapan noble isn't much of a facade. There's a very small list of things that Iphis truly cares about, buried deep within the storm of irreverent snark and ostentatious boredom, and she approaches them with single-minded, relentless focus. Underneath the flamboyant displays, she is an incredibly well-drilled swordswoman. She is very often the smartest person in the room, which she’ll gloat about when she can whip it out after people buy into her vapid bitch routine. There is nothing she would not or has not done for the Work.

It's Called the Boot, My Darling (Personality Aspect)

Although trained in the moribund Krath tradition, Iphis is a natural fit among the Sith. She is ruthless, selfish, and nothing is beyond or beneath her if it advances her core goals. That’s not just her approach, it’s the reality all of the important people in her life have lived by since she was a child, and it’s difficult for her to even comprehend more altruistic people as anything but fellow players or hilarious idiots.

Nobody Ever Notices... You Noticed, Didn't You? Just a Bit? (Personality Aspect)

Iphis' personality can be charitably described as "extra;" for those who've gotten to know it, it can be easy to forget how unobtrusive and easily overlooked she is in unfamiliar situations or around unfamiliar people. Her genuine indifference to other people's feelings and natural caution make it easy for Iphis to avoid attracting attention or scrutiny—at least until she's in a sure position to gloat. If she’s in a position to dominate, she will, but she’ll behave herself until then.

Dying is for Suckers (Combat Aspect)

Many Sith have pretensions of immortality, but Iphis might actually pull it off. Her unsurpassed control over her own body with the Force has rendered her nearly immune to death by natural causes and more than a few unnatural ones. In combat, she generally has less to fear than her opponents but more to lose. Her fighting style, while confident, is fundamentally cautious and she will prioritize her own survival over everything else.

What Can I Say? I Love a Little Gall on Gall (Combat Aspect)

The mostly bloodless nature of blaster and lightsaber combat has left most combatants relatively squeamish about just what kinetic weapons can do to a sapient's body.

Iphis is not squeamish.

On the contrary, her enemies’ own blood and bile become her weapons and Iphis uses Telekinesis and Synergy to literally turn severed flesh and torrents of blood against her opponents. The self-fueling horror show of violence may terrify, disgust, or simply distract her opponents, but if nothing else it is an experience.
