Having been born inside a star-ship as opposed to planet-side, Kess Relven has never had a particular world to call his home. He grew up in an environment that requires being of use in order to survive, and without the borders that breed patriotism. The allegiances of the galaxy mean little to him, only the strength of individual merit. He is most at peace when in space, and will take on any contract or mission that enables him to remain firmly seated in a cockpit.

This utter lack of affiliation often results in what can be construed as insubordination and disloyalty, putting him at odds with those that value such things.

Kess Relven looks at any problem he comes across and instead of immediately complaining about it sets out to figure out a solution. He will work tirelessly to find workarounds or a solution, but can often overthink the resolution and come up with a "fix" that is actually more complex than needed. This driven approach to fixing problems can be helpful at times but grating at others when a simple "restart" would have accomplished the task quicker than re-programming the entire device.

Kess Relven is a lateral thinker, and when he encounters problems or dilemmas, he is very good at improvising and coming up with alternative solutions. This allows Kess Relven to find ways out of situations others might give up on. While these solutions are often not so obvious to others, Kess Relven can typically explain and lead others through his plan...as long as they are patient and willing enough to trust him outside thinking.

Kess Relven considers his work to be the most important aspect of his life. This borderline obsession with the "job" leaves little room for any kind of personal or social life, making it difficult for Kess Relven to relax and enjoy spending time with others. He excels in activities that relate to their work, but the idea of work-life balance is an altogether abstract concept.

Kess Relven vastly prefers ranged combat, taking every opportunity to use skills and Force Powers to disengage from melee and instead fight at range, so much so that he has become competent at staying out of melee in the first place.

When Kess Relven gets in trouble, he finds no fault in bravely turning tail and getting the hell out of dodge. Obviously, this means that he tends to survive even the most deadly encounters... but the same can't always be said for his compatriots. This fact hasn't exactly made him the most popular among his peers, but hey, at least Kess Relven isn't dead yet.
