Nibik is a small, round-bodied Ewok, standing just about a meter tall, with the familiar proportions of their kind: a broad, flat face, compact limbs, and a sturdy frame shaped for life in the wilds—or the crawlspaces of a ship. Their thick, deep black fur covers them from head to toe, naturally sleek and plush, though uneven in places from close encounters with heat and grime.
Their face is framed by a slightly longer ruff of fur, with a small, dark nose and a pair of vivid green eyes that gleam with constant motion and curiosity. The eyes are bright and expressive, their gaze sharp—always studying, breaking things down, understanding.
Scattered along their arms and the edge of one cheek are a few faint grease burns and singed patches of fur, subtle but permanent reminders of proximity to open cook fires, flash-fryers, or malfunctioning power couplings. These spots don’t seem to bother Nibik; they wear them the way some might wear medals.
Their ears, rounded and mobile, flick toward sound with quick, instinctive movements. Their small hands are nimble and calloused, the fur on their fingers often darkened or clumped slightly from oil, flour, or spice dust. Their feet are thick and padded, Ewok-typical, giving them quiet, sure steps even when rushing across metal plating.
Though small, their body is full of wiry energy—an Ewok used to fixing problems fast, whether it's a fried circuit or a scorched pot of stew.
Nibik is perfectly capable of fulfilling responsibilities and doing their duties. But goofing off and having fun will always have a heavy sway in their decision making. They sometimes ignore orders or find ways to spend as much time avoiding an assignment as possible.
Nibik loves to play with computers and enjoys interacting with them more than they do with people. Some may call them antisocial - and they'd be right.
Nibik is very cheerful and happy, and always looks on the bright side of life. When chewing on life’s gristle, they don't grumble, but give a whistle. They always hope for the best, and enjoys laughing, smiling, dancing or singing. This unending optimism often improves the morale and spirit of everyone around them, and Nibik is always quick with a smile or a joke, even when drawing their terminal breath. This same exuberance can also be tiring to more jaded curmudgeons.
Nibik doesn't like conflict; so they try to avoid it whenever possible, both in terms of combat, and interpersonal relations.
Where most err on the side of caution in a confrontation, Nibik prefers to charge in head-first. While others may skirt a battlefield or keep their careful distance, Nibik rushes in with devastating attacks with seemingly no regard for safety, relying upon instinct and possibly armor to protect them from dismemberment and death during their all-out attacks. Nibik is a force to be feared on the battlefield, leaving a trail of death and destruction. However, Nibik's blood-hungry ways put them in far more danger than the normal combatant, often resulting in needless injury and suffering, trading safety for pure offensive ability.
When Nibik gets in trouble, they find no fault in bravely turning tail and getting the hell out of dodge. Obviously, this means that they tend to survive even the most deadly encounters... but the same can't always be said for their compatriots. This fact hasn't exactly made them the most popular among their peers, but hey, at least Nibik isn't dead yet.
