Due to his growth on Dathomir, Maleek retains many of the same rituals and rites that he values so much that he will dedicate his attention and time to assure they are completed prior to missions, traveling, and the beginning and end of the day. Many of the rituals and rites require things like shards of bone and wood, feathers, ash, and Force-infused powders which Voss always carries with him.

From the rituals and rites practiced both as a young child and an adult, Maleek is often tracing his fingers around the ink especially when transforming his body through the force. While tracing the ink patterns, Maleek sometimes experiences memories by the scars littered throughout his skin.

Maleek is not one to boast or to loudly proclaim his intentions. He is one who silently studies and lets the silence in conversations hang quite a while before giving an answer. As he studies the situation, his appearance is often seen as intimidating or unnerving while Voss moves in deliberate ways without a word. He is never aggressive but his intentions are often misread.

While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Maleek Voss's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. He becomes focused and quiet, with his smile replaced with a look of grim determination.

Through careful study and dedication to isolated martial-combat, Maleek Voss has turned the act of dueling into an art form. A keen eye and attention to detail allows him the ability to learn their opponent's idiosyncrasies while fighting. Maleek Voss then uses his own skills to capitalize on the opponent's weakness. Because of this calculated approach to isolated duels, Maleek Voss has a harder time taking on multiple opponents at once at higher skill levels.

Even the most gifted of weapon masters understands the importance of physical fitness and disciplining the body with thorough martial arts training. Maleek Voss has trained vigorously in unarmed combat by fusing Teräs Käsi and Echani with other unconventional forms. While this martial focus helps bolster his prowess in close-quarters combat, Maleek Voss is still limited in scope when facing down a less direct or ranged threat.
