Syk Varshin is a Thisspiassian with dark green skin on her lithe, well toned snake-like body. Her striking ocean blue eyes stand out against her braided brown hair. She bears no scars on her, save a small one on her left upper arm. Her extra set of arms are always hidden under her clothing.
Syk Varshin grew up never knowing her family. She was sold into slavery very young, and was put to work almost immediately. However, due to her age, Syk Varshin bounced from owner to owner until she became a teenager. Having to endure horrible treatment during this time in her life, Syk Varshin has lingering trust issues while carrying an absolute hatred toward slavers. If confronted with acts of slavery, she will most likely lash out in some way, regardless if it compromises her objective.
Having been born inside a star-ship as opposed to planet-side, Syk Varshin has never had a particular world to call her home. She grew up in an environment that requires being of use in order to survive, and without the borders that breed patriotism. The allegiances of the galaxy mean little to her, only the strength of individual merit. She is most at peace when in space, and will take on any contract or mission that enables her to remain firmly seated in a cockpit.
This utter lack of affiliation often results in what can be construed as insubordination and disloyalty, putting her at odds with those that value such things.
While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Syk Varshin's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. She becomes focused and quiet, with her smile replaced with a look of grim determination.
Despite her line of work, Syk Varshin still sees herself as a refined gentleman and will often put on a show of being haughty and arrogant to those she does not know. Syk Varshin only lets the mask slip to show her more laid back nature to those she trusts. To those she dislikes, she will actually become even more insufferable as taunts and quips without any regard for who or what she might be offending.
Without the gift of the Force, Syk Varshin has trained rigorously with a wide range of melee weaponry and technology to better handle opponents that are able to harness the mythical power. Syk Varshin has been conditioned to fight against foes that are Force-sensitive and are able to compensate against fighting an adversary wielding something as deadly as a lightsaber. While this adaptive combat training makes her lethal in close quarters combat against any kind of threat, they are still at the mercy of a long ranged fighter, assailant or Force user that prefers to attack the mind instead of the body.
When it comes to a fight, some like to posture, some like to act tough, some like to dance around and go through all sorts of fancy footwork. Syk Varshin? Syk Varshin doesn't bother with exotic battle stances, intricate maneuvers, or super-secret tactics. Syk Varshin, when cornered into a fight, prefers the ancient technique of a good kick to the nuts. And if that won't work, either because the enemy is a woman or has balls of steel, Syk Varshin isn't beyond pulling a few more cheap tricks out of the bag. Granted, Syk Varshin won't be winning any medals for nobility or any prestige for a unique fighting style or a superb maneuver, but Syk Varshin will still be winning, the best and most dirty way she knows how.
