Nyx Valoren sees herself as the control subject in the science experiment called life. Often labeled as "boring" and "predictable", Nyx Valoren keeps her wild and experimental side reserved for pet projects. This boring lifestyle leads to her being considered anti-social and when she does join others, instead of relaxing she prefers to keep quiet and observe.

Nyx Valoren is perfectly capable of fulfilling responsibilities and doing her duties. But goofing off and having fun will always have a heavy sway in her decision making. She sometimes ignores orders or finds ways to spend as much time avoiding an assignment as possible.

Nyx Valoren is a lateral thinker, and when she encounters problems or dilemmas, she is very good at improvising and coming up with alternative solutions. This allows Nyx Valoren to find ways out of situations others might give up on. While these solutions are often not so obvious to others, Nyx Valoren can typically explain and lead others through her plan...as long as they are patient and willing enough to trust her outside thinking.

Nyx Valoren considers her work to be the most important aspect of her life. This borderline obsession with the "job" leaves little room for any kind of personal or social life, making it difficult for Nyx Valoren to relax and enjoy spending time with others. She excels in activities that relate to their work, but the idea of work-life balance is an altogether abstract concept.

Sometimes the only way to prepare for the worst is to always expect it. Nyx Valoren takes this philosophy one step further by never leaving home without accounting for every possible scenario she might expect to encounter. Nyx Valoren tends to always have the right tool or item for a situation and has a habit of quietly and almost smugly presenting solutions before anyone even recognizes there is a problem. This foresight is far from infallible, however, and she often finds herself at a loss in situations that go beyond what she could have imagined. While incredibly practical and often a life-saver in a pinch, her perpetually pessimistic outlook on daily life can be a bit draining on more optimistic-inclined companions.

Fond of staying alive and prepared, Nyx Valoren keeps several bladed weapons hidden on her person at all times and in all different locations. Nyx Valoren switches these locations periodically in order to maintain an element of surprise even among her allies who know her. Unfortunately, this sometimes means that she is slower to draw one of these weapons if she forgets where she stashed them.
