Current Character Sheet for Kalen Joss

Every legendary story seems to have at least one charming and optimistic character. If that's the case, then it only makes sense that Kalen Joss has decided to be that person. After all, if everyone is too busy whining and groaning about the negatives, how will anyone ever reach the positive? True, Kalen Joss's constant belief that things will get better can be terribly grating, especially to pessimists or those just level-headed enough to realize when things truly are going downhill, but Kalen Joss's constant positive outlook can serve to sometimes spur others to action when it feels like the world just wants them to lay down and die.

Having been born inside a star-ship as opposed to planet-side, Kalen Joss has never had a particular world to call his home. He grew up in an environment that requires being of use in order to survive, and without the borders that breed patriotism. The allegiances of the galaxy mean little to him, only the strength of individual merit. He is most at peace when in space, and will take on any contract or mission that enables him to remain firmly seated in a cockpit.

This utter lack of affiliation often results in what can be construed as insubordination and disloyalty, putting him at odds with those that value such things.

Being born in a far away galaxy, and the descendant of the survivors of one of the Republics 'Lost' squadrons, Kalen is a true outsider. He often comes of as naive, childish, or a simpleton when it comes to history, interpersonal relations and galactic politics. He lived his entire life among a group of roughly 5000 souls, before they were able to hitched a ride home with some space whales in early 43 ABY.

Being a 'grandfathered' Jedi, with no knowledge of what had occurred in the previous 70+ years , he is often weary of the motives of many of his Brothers. His charm an innocence often save him from a grim fate. Cora, the tailors daughters on Aliso, was the first person to make him feel like he belonged.

The Jedi are selfless, caring only about others. Kalen Joss is compassionate, brave and always strives to represent the common good. He tries to help everyone he can, even at his own expense, and is a fine role model for others to follow.

Born with an intractable will and limitless courage, Kalen Joss will stand in the face of insurmountable odds and never retreat. Despite the fact that such acts of heedless bravery are inspiring and will sometimes result in victories worthy of song, just as often they result in his allies getting wounded or killed.

If Kalen Joss had been in Greedo’s shoes, Han Solo would be pushing up daisies. He almost always acts on instinct, which typically means he can be seen as impulsive and may not think his actions through, especially in situations during or leading up to combat.
