Archived Character Sheet for Valin
Valin
If you see him without his armor on, Valin is about what you would expect from a Mandalorian. Broad shouldered with a strong build, he has brown hair in a short military cut and brown eyes. Like most Mandalorians who were born into the tradition he has tan skin. He has very little in the way of scarring or marks of other kinds.
While Valin will see a job through to its conclusion and put forward his best effort, it’s still just a job. Valin's true loyalties lie to his friends, and through thick and thin,he will stand by them and die for them if needed. This loyalty is reserved for those who have earned Valin's trust, putting him at odds with other Mercenaries that are only doing a job for the money. This also makes it harder for employers to trust his motives, often times creating extra competition and difficulty finding work. None of it matters to Valin, though, because loyalty to his friends is not something credits can buy.
Valin has held many titles, not all of them prestigious. He is a Mandalorian noble of house Valin and clan Ardes, future heir to both. But he is also a craftsman. His home planet Me’suumb’Mando’ad has been isolated on the edge of the outer rim for hundreds of years and only rarely gets any shipments. They regularly have needs that cannot be filled without more help in the workforce so young nobles will be called to help. Valin always wants something to do and, unlike his peers, he enjoys helping his house and clan in this way. Harvesting crops, crafting weapons, repairing farm equipment, and even helping the disabled are all things he has done to help his people. This has served to shape his mentality now as he goes off to find allies for house Ardes by working as a mercenary in the wider galaxy.
While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Valin's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. He becomes focused and quiet, with his smile replaced with a look of grim determination.
Valin has a knack for making heroic entrances whenever possible. This is actually something he works at, and one of these days, he might just be a little too late.
As a Mandalorian, Valin, has trained since youth to excel in combat. Being incredibly skilled at using his own arsenal and in a pinch capable of using any weapon or even improvising a weapon, he is deadly no matter when or where you meet him.
He is most fond of using his vambraces but he is also very skilled with any firearm or blaster and excels in martial arts. When he is pursuing a goal very few things can stop him. This can blind him to alternatives as he is determined to achieve his goal.
Without the gift of the Force, Valin has trained rigorously with a wide range of melee weaponry and technology to better handle opponents that are able to harness the mythical power. Valin has been conditioned to fight against foes that are Force-sensitive and are able to compensate against fighting an adversary wielding something as deadly as a lightsaber. While this adaptive combat training makes him lethal in close quarters combat against any kind of threat, they are still at the mercy of a long ranged fighter, assailant or Force user that prefers to attack the mind instead of the body.
