Physical Description

At first glance, Taro possesses the natural, effortless allure characteristic of the Falleen. But this illusion of similarity to more common near-human species is quickly replaced by his true, unmistakably alien appearance once a proper look is given. Towering at seven feet and two inches, his lithe form is deceptive in that it belies the explosive strength present in the lean muscle lurking beneath his tanned skin. Long-limbed with a narrow waist resembling Kyuzo in that regard, though those intimately familiar with Kyuzo anatomy would notice his build is decidedly more stocky than Kyuzo typically are.

His skin is a warm, sunkissed tan with olive undertones, pockmarked with minute, overlapping scales with clusters forming around the pronounced cheek bones owed to his Falleen ancestry. His skin would be flawless were it not for the jagged scar present on his left pectoral muscle. Taro sports a head of deep black tresses that cascade down his narrow shoulders like strands of silk, with many braids woven throughout. The bulk of it is pulled into a half knot behind his head, leaving the sides to frame his face.

His most striking feature are his eyes. Each one is a bright amber-orange and composed of hundreds, maybe thousands, of tiny hexagonal shapes. Despite resembling the eyes of many insect species, they remain remarkably expressive, and seem to glow with an otherworldly brilliance in low light conditions.

Last Kyuzo Standing (General Aspect)

Taro is nothing if not a survivor. Having spent his formative years amongst criminals, five years of which were in a New Republic supermax facility, he's learned to survey his surroundings for anything that might prove useful to him: exits, useful people, and opportunities. He detests feeling trapped, and is known to become especially resourceful when the cards are down. To him, a situation is never truly lost or hopeless. There's always another avenue to reaching his goals, whether that's through finding (or making) another door, another person he can charm, or another risk worth taking. He relies on wit, skill, and luck in equal measure.

A Deal's a Deal (General Aspect)

Taro may be a criminal, but he isn't careless with his words. In fact, he earned the moniker "Saint" amongst his compatriots in the Tenixir Revenants and the greater galactic underworld because of the way he handles himself. He is a man of his word with a strong moral compass that guides him to act honorably in a profession that typically chews up people with such strong moral convictions. Trust is as much a currency as credits, and he takes his reputation seriously even if his devil-may-care attitude suggests otherwise. Some of his peers consider this a weakness, but anyone who has worked with Taro knows that his word is bond. Whether it's a promise to do right by an ally or to get even with someone who has wronged him, he'll do everything in his power to make good on his word.

Strange Bedfellows (Personality Aspect)

Taro's year with the Tenixir Revenants exposed him to nearly every flavor of criminal operating within the Galaxy's vast criminal underworld. Pirates, smugglers, assassins; gangsters, terrorists, thieves, and fugitives were just a fraction of the different people who passed throuh the Revenants' locale. Being forced to break bread with them to survive taught him how to deal with people from wildly different backgrounds, and instilled in him a quiet shrewdness that allows him to find common ground with nearly anyone.

He understands the unwritten rules of the criminal underworld, such as when to negotiate, when to pay his debts, and most importantly, when to walk away. Following his escape from New Republic supermax, he doesn't run with the Revenants as often as he used to, but they remain an important part of his identity.

Easy Going 'Till the Fight Starts (Personality Aspect)

While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Taro "Saint" Priak's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. He becomes focused and quiet, with his smile replaced with a look of grim determination.

Flow State (Combat Aspect)

In combat, Taro relies primarily on instinct, intuition, and brief flashes of precognition rather than powerful displays of Force power. He often moves before he consciously understand why, ducking behind obstacles just before a shot is fired, reaching for a weapon prior to an ambush, or recognizing a critical opening that allows him to turn the tide of a firefight. Years of relying on these insticts have made them almost indistinguishable from ordinary reflex, and had Taro not learned of his Force sensitivity in his youth, he likely would have thought there was nothing to it than that.

His heavy reliance on precognition is supplemented by his Athletics and Teleportation, which allow him to move around the battlefield with frightening haste. His reliance on instincts can get him in trouble if met with opposition with superior planning or tactics than him, though.

Cheap Lesson & High Price (Combat Aspect)

Taro's approach to combat reflects the same philosophy he applies to everything else: he gives people the opportunity to make the sensibile choice first. Then, he acts decisively to shut them down if they don't. He uses his paired MW-20 Bryar Pistols -- Cheap Lesson and High Price -- with deadly precision, combining their firepower with his acrobatic and highly mobile style to overwhelm his opponents. His suave demeanor and wit are often on full display during battle, which he uses in the hopes of distracting or unnerving opponents before he answers with a shot between the eyes. This style focuses heavily on mobility, so if Taro is sufficiently slowed down or backed into a corner, his chances of coming out unscathed decrease considerably.
