Current Character Sheet for Dash Kuatir
Dash Kuatir
Phyiscal Description:
Dash is of average height and has the classic good looks of Kuati nobility with artfully mussed dark brown hair, thick dark eyebrows, warm brown eyes, pale olive skin and an almond-shaped face. His nose is wide but not overly so, and his full lips compliment it perfectly. His chin and pronounced mouth often sport a day or two’s worth of stubble, but never enough to be considered a beard. Despite being in his late thirties, he (through excellent genetics) looks barely out of adolescence. Dash has relatively broad shoulders and a lean, defined physique with little hair on his form. His skin is unblemished by time or scarring. With a winning smile of perfect white teeth, his appearance seems meant to turn heads.
Distinguishing Marks
Dash’s only tattoo is a small circular stylised emblem of a Phoenix behind his right ear done in plain black ink. The ‘brand’ is barely the size of a cred-chip.
The weapon most oft-used in Dash’s arsenal isn’t a blaster, but the spoken word. He has been known to brag ‘if I want something, I just need to keep talking until I get it.’ - Whether it’s bending another to his will through persuasion or outright lies after being caught in the bed of the Senator’s son, the Kuati is devastatingly effective when spinning his web. Dash has not been known to lose an argument (or pay his bar tab) in a long, long time.
Dash is no stranger to disguises and has been known to convincingly ‘play’ a myriad of different personas ranging from a street beggar to an Imperial Moff. He slips into character seemingly without effort and with a mixture of costumes, makeup and an eerie ability to mimic voices and accents he’s heard with discerning accuracy, he can pass undetected for weeks or months at a time if needs be.
Originally born into the now-deposed House of Kuatir - one of the original Ten Ruling Families of Kuat - Dash has practically been bred to have a high opinion of himself (or at least a lower opinion of everyone else). This arrogance presents mainly as cutting remarks, a callous disregard for almost everyone else other than himself and the select few he deems worthy, and a seething hatred for almost every nobility and upper class in any society he encounters. It also helps him nurture a strong eschewment of most authority figures and he bristles at being told what to do in most instances.
Dash is rarely seen without a drink in hand. He shows a remarkable tolerance to most types of alcohol and never seems drunk. Presumably this dependency on alcohol is to cope with the trauma of witnessing most of his family gunned down at a young age. He seems to think and fight better with alcohol in his system, but when deprived of anything to whet his whistle he becomes irritable and moody. In his own words, “If I stopped drinking all at once, I’m afraid the cumulative hangover would literally kill me.”
A unique style of fighting developed by Dash over the years before he formally named it, CAC involves incorporating pistols into close-combat grappling, often discharging the weapons mid-lock or counter. It focuses on an economy of movement, avoiding initial vectors of incoming fire and closing the distance quickly to dispatch foes at close range using a variety of jabs and weak points in the anatomy and kill-shots to the face and chest. The martial arts form is not for disabling or incapacitating foes but rather dispatching them quickly and with a minimum of fuss, borrowing a lot of the physical motions of Mandalorian Core and the Imperial Martial Arts System.
The Bounty Hunter is a firm believer that you don’t need to wait for the perfect shot; just get the target down and then finish them at your leisure with fifty shots if necessary. He will not suffer someone soliloquising when he could simply shoot them in the face and is a complete foreigner to the concept of a ‘fair fight.’ Dash would happily shoot someone in the back to cut combat short and get back to the bar. Hell, he has done many a time in the past.
