Rachel Evergarden sees herself as the control subject in the science experiment called life. Often labeled as "boring" and "predictable", Rachel Evergarden keeps her wild and experimental side reserved for pet projects. This boring lifestyle leads to her being considered anti-social and when she does join others, instead of relaxing she prefers to keep quiet and observe.
Rachel Evergarden loves to play with computers and enjoys interacting with them more than she does with people. Some may call her antisocial - and they'd be right.
Rachel Evergarden has a tendency to get addicted to things, even if those things aren't addictive.
Rachel Evergarden doesn't like conflict; so she tries to avoid it whenever possible, both in terms of combat, and interpersonal relations.
Sometimes the only way to prepare for the worst is to always expect it. Rachel Evergarden takes this philosophy one step further by never leaving home without accounting for every possible scenario she might expect to encounter. Rachel Evergarden tends to always have the right tool or item for a situation and has a habit of quietly and almost smugly presenting solutions before anyone even recognizes there is a problem. This foresight is far from infallible, however, and she often finds herself at a loss in situations that go beyond what she could have imagined. While incredibly practical and often a life-saver in a pinch, her perpetually pessimistic outlook on daily life can be a bit draining on more optimistic-inclined companions.
While Rachel Evergarden avoids combat whenever possible, she has no qualms working with technology under the stress and pressure of combat. Rachel Evergarden has trained herself to keep calm and focus intently on Slicing even while taking blaster fire from cover or when placed under time constraints. In truth, Rachel Evergarden almost works better when under duress, and actually needs motivation, typically, when Slicing.
