Basically, he is kind of a jerk, and that can sometimes get Jason "Death" Aran in a bit of trouble.

But also don't waste potential resources. Having come to a decision, Jason is thorough and does not mind the bodies, both direct and collateral, that decision costs. But he understands that sparing or even saving a life when it might be useful later carries you further than mere killing, and that killing for fun tends to waste resources and create more trouble later on.

When it comes to a fight, some like to posture, some like to act tough, some like to dance around and go through all sorts of fancy footwork. Jason "Death" Aran? Jason "Death" Aran doesn't bother with exotic battle stances, intricate maneuvers, or super-secret tactics. Jason "Death" Aran, when cornered into a fight, prefers the ancient technique of a good kick to the nuts. And if that won't work, either because the enemy is a woman or has balls of steel, Jason "Death" Aran isn't beyond pulling a few more cheap tricks out of the bag. Granted, Jason "Death" Aran won't be winning any medals for nobility or any prestige for a unique fighting style or a superb maneuver, but Jason "Death" Aran will still be winning, the best and most dirty way he knows how.

The best fight is a quick one, where the least amount of energy is expended. Using this mantra, Jason prefers to go for efficient, quick and minimalistic methods rather than showy or elaborately long and tiring techniques. This same style also pushes Jason out of his comfort zone when confronted with an opponent that can match his efficiency strike for strike, causing him to struggle when drawn into longer skirmishes.
