Physical Description

Tall for a Barabel, Zakath stands at just over two meters tall. He is built as a warrior, and his time in the Brotherhood has done nothing to erode that fact. Constant exercise both on and off the battlefield has ensured that his reptilian body is heavily muscled, with thick protective grey scales covering every inch of his body, with visible scarring from deep claw marks evident on his left shoulder and torso, with two deep gouges for each. His fingers end with thick heavy talons that can rip his enemies to shreds if given an opening.

As with all Barabels, Zakath has a long and thick muscular tail trailing out from behind him, which can flick to and fro in a calm manner or rapidly depending on the state of his mood. And unbeknownst to all who weren't familiar with the Barabel species and sought to trap him by seizing the tail, Zakath has the ability to shed the tail to free himself and eventually regrow another.

Zakath's normal attire is very simple, as in most situations, he does not wear much clothes. Instead he wears a bandolier slung across his torso and a cargo belt on his waist that is used to carry his lightsaber, comlink, and other essential items. The bandolier carries replacement energy cell packs or other items changing depending on the situations he prepares himself for. Otherwise a pair of simple black pants and boots with armored shin guards are all he usually wears.

For formal occasions, he wears his usual black pants and shin armor, but also a simple black robe with a hood.

The signs of dark side corruption is easily spotted on Zakath, most notably in his eyes. Normally shown as a pair of reptilian green eyes with slit pupils, they have a tendency to glow a deep violet whenever Zakath draws deeply on the Dark Side or when he experiences strong emotion. His lustrous grey scales has also begun to show changes due to the corruption, small crackings in the scales has begun to appear and the shininess has begun to dull to a matte grey, although to date, it had not impacted Zakath's abilities in or out of combat.

Speech: Zakath speaks Basic with an accent. To reflect this in dialog, replace every non-starting S letter with a Z. Example: “My name iz Zakath. Your death iz at hand. You should prepare yourzelf.”

Dark Enforcer (General Aspect)

As a loyal servant of Arcona, Zakath is not shy about doing what needs to be done, regardless of the cost. Although his time with Atyiru has begun to temper him by eroding his maliciousness, he is not above performing any dark deed if it furthers Arcona’s goals, and is willing to do anything from breaking kneecaps, torturing subjects for information, up to and including assassination of the Clan’s enemies and beyond.

Interrogator (General Aspect)

His time in the Dark Brotherhood has taught Zakath many lessons, one of which is that information is power, and information extracted from an enemy can be the most powerful of all. Accordingly, Zakath has taken the time to study many species and has learned to wield both the Force and the tools of torture in conjunction to pry open his victims' minds and claim their secrets for his own. Those who fall under his care will soon learn to do anything to avoid repeating such a fate… if they survive the experience.

Suffers No Fools (Personality Aspect)

Zakath is not one for taking the time to teach others what they need to know. If they don’t already know what they need to do the job, he is quick to cut them loose - if they are fortunate. But to those that know their jobs and performs well, Zakath accords them the respect due and gives them a great deal of latitude to perform their duties as they see fit.

Intimidation Equals Authority (Personality Aspect)

Zakath has grown up in a hostile environment where the strongest ruled through fear, and this perception has held true for him into his time with the Dark Brotherhood. Zakath has become skilled at reading others and over time figuring out what their deeper fears are through a combination of subtle interrogation and background investigation, and uses that information to extract obedience from his people.

Mind Twister (Combat Aspect)

As his powers developed during his career in the Dark Brotherhood, Zakath discovered that he had a particular talent for delving into people’s minds and inspiring terror and temporary obedience from them, a valuable asset during his interrogations. As he honed his talents, he began to adapt these skills for use on the battlefield. When combat erupts, he will attempt to employ his mind-altering tricks to turn the tide in his favor. Oftentimes this led to success, but when an enemy of strong perception and resolve is encountered that could see through his trickery, Zakath will more often than not find himself at a disadvantage.

Old Habits Die Hard (Combat Aspect)

Having spent the lion’s share of his adult life as a bounty hunter with no awareness of his Force sensitivity prior to joining the Dark Brotherhood, Zakath has found himself trusting more in his skills wielding a blaster than in his skill with a lightsaber. Although Zakath had acquired the tooth of a rancor and used it to build his own customized lightsaber, it serves more as a symbol of prestige for him than as an actual weapon. Although he is trained in using it with a fair degree of skill, Zakath much prefers to face his enemies with a trusty blaster pistol and rifle in hand, even against opponents that also wield lightsabers.
