Ka-Lel grew up never knowing his family. He was sold into slavery very young, and was put to work almost immediately. However, due to his age, Ka-Lel bounced from owner to owner until he became a teenager. Having to endure horrible treatment during this time in his life, Ka-Lel has lingering trust issues while carrying an absolute hatred toward slavers. If confronted with acts of slavery, he will most likely lash out in some way, regardless of it compromises his objective.

Ka-Lel is devoutly loyal to his House or Clan and will follow orders unquestionably. He would sacrifice his own life to protect his House or Clan from harm. This attitude, however, often clouds his ability to see things from an arbitrary or objective point of view and he can come off as extremely narrow-minded.

While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Ka-Lel's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. He becomes focused and quiet, with his smile replaced with a look of grim determination.

Ka-Lel prefers to push the rules to the absolute limit. While he is unlikely to actually break rules or disobey orders, he toes the line between what is allowed and what isn't at every opportunity.

Ka-Lel has an uncanny knack for identifying traps and alerting others to them. Now, if only he could consistently do it BEFORE the trap goes off...

When it comes to a fight, some like to posture, some like to act tough, some like to dance around and go through all sorts of fancy footwork. Ka-Lel? Ka-Lel doesn't bother with exotic battle stances, intricate maneuvers, or super-secret tactics. Ka-Lel, when cornered into a fight, prefers the ancient technique of a good kick to the nuts. And if that won't work, either because the enemy is a woman or has balls of steel, Ka-Lel isn't beyond pulling a few more cheap tricks out of the bag. Granted, Ka-Lel won't be winning any medals for nobility or any prestige for a unique fighting style or a superb maneuver, but Ka-Lel will still be winning, the best and most dirty way he knows how.
