Through a combination of preparing, studying, and analyzing, Motan Starblade creates detailed battle plans and tries to think two steps ahead of the enemy. At times, however, this can lead to Motan Starblade creating complicated schemes that can baffle less intelligent subordinates.

When Motan Starblade does things, he makes sure everything is done correctly, no matter how long it takes. This means there are frequent delays in Motan Starblade's work, but it's usually done right, at least.

The Jedi are selfless, caring only about others. Motan Starblade is compassionate, brave and always strives to represent the common good. He tries to help everyone he can, even at his own expense, and is a fine role model for others to follow.

Despite his line of work, Motan Starblade still sees himself as a refined gentleman and will often put on a show of being haughty and arrogant to those he does not know. Motan Starblade only lets the mask slip to show his more laid back nature to those he trusts. To those he dislikes, he will actually become even more insufferable as taunts and quips without any regard for who or what he might be offending.

Sometimes the only way to prepare for the worst is to always expect it. Motan Starblade takes this philosophy one step further by never leaving home without accounting for every possible scenario he might expect to encounter. Motan Starblade tends to always have the right tool or item for a situation and has a habit of quietly and almost smugly presenting solutions before anyone even recognizes there is a problem. This foresight is far from infallible, however, and he often finds himself at a loss in situations that go beyond what he could have imagined. While incredibly practical and often a life-saver in a pinch, his perpetually pessimistic outlook on daily life can be a bit draining on more optimistic-inclined companions.

Motan Starblade doesn't like to kill people; instead he chooses to injure his opponent until that person is unable to fight back or is otherwise incapacitated.
