While Shya Tos will see a job through to its conclusion and put forward her best effort, it’s still just a job. Shya Tos's true loyalties lie to her friends, and through thick and thin,she will stand by them and die for them if needed. This loyalty is reserved for those who have earned Shya Tos's trust, putting her at odds with other Mercenaries that are only doing a job for the money. This also makes it harder for employers to trust her motives, often times creating extra competition and difficulty finding work. None of it matters to Shya Tos, though, because loyalty to her friends is not something credits can buy.

Having been born inside a star-ship as opposed to planet-side, Shya Tos has never had a particular world to call her home. She grew up in an environment that requires being of use in order to survive, and without the borders that breed patriotism. The allegiances of the galaxy mean little to her, only the strength of individual merit. She is most at peace when in space, and will take on any contract or mission that enables her to remain firmly seated in a cockpit.

This utter lack of affiliation often results in what can be construed as insubordination and disloyalty, putting her at odds with those that value such things.

Shya Tos is very cheerful and happy, and always looks on the bright side of life. When chewing on life’s gristle, she doesn't grumble, but gives a whistle. She always hopes for the best, and enjoys laughing, smiling, dancing or singing. This unending optimism often improves the morale and spirit of everyone around her, and Shya Tos is always quick with a smile or a joke, even when drawing her terminal breath. This same exuberance can also be tiring to more jaded curmudgeons.

While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Shya Tos's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. She becomes focused and quiet, with her smile replaced with a look of grim determination.

Fond of staying alive and prepared, Shya Tos keeps several bladed weapons hidden on her person at all times and in all different locations. Shya Tos switches these locations periodically in order to maintain an element of surprise even among her allies who know her. Unfortunately, this sometimes means that she is slower to draw one of these weapons if she forgets where she stashed them.

Through careful study and dedication to isolated martial-combat, Shya Tos has turned the act of dueling into an art form. A keen eye and attention to detail allows her the ability to learn their opponent's idiosyncrasies while fighting. Shya Tos then uses her own skills to capitalize on the opponent's weakness. Because of this calculated approach to isolated duels, Shya Tos has a harder time taking on multiple opponents at once at higher skill levels.
