Duncan T. Alvan doesn't like to work in groups or teams and feels most comfortable on his own. Duncan T. Alvan sticks to himself, sets his own pace, and doesn't share feelings or emotions with others. While the Lone Wolf can get things done quietly and efficiently, he tends to be emotionally cut off and has problems relating to his comrades.

Duncan T. Alvan is devoutly loyal to his House or Clan and will follow orders unquestionably. He would sacrifice his own life to protect his House or Clan from harm. This attitude, however, often clouds his ability to see things from an arbitrary or objective point of view and he can come off as extremely narrow-minded.

All who gain power are afraid to lose it, and Duncan T. Alvan is no exception. Some use their power for good, some for evil; Duncan T. Alvan, however, knows that these are just points of view. He is on a quest for greater power, and uses all his skills and abilities to ensure his supremacy, regardless of the consequences.

Duncan T. Alvan prefers to push the rules to the absolute limit. While he is unlikely to actually break rules or disobey orders, he toes the line between what is allowed and what isn't at every opportunity.

Through careful study and dedication to isolated martial-combat, Duncan T. Alvan has turned the act of dueling into an art form. A keen eye and attention to detail allows him the ability to learn their opponent's idiosyncrasies while fighting. Duncan T. Alvan then uses his own skills to capitalize on the opponent's weakness. Because of this calculated approach to isolated duels, Duncan T. Alvan has a harder time taking on multiple opponents at once at higher skill levels.

Duncan T. Alvan vastly prefers ranged combat, taking every opportunity to use skills and Force Powers to disengage from melee and instead fight at range, so much so that he has become competent at staying out of melee in the first place.
