Jael Chi'ra is perfectly capable of fulfilling responsibilities and doing his duties. But goofing off and having fun will always have a heavy sway in his decision making. He sometimes ignores orders or finds ways to spend as much time avoiding an assignment as possible.

Jael Chi'ra somehow always finds himself in tricky situations that put him in over his head. As such, Jael Chi'ra always seems to be digging himself out of some kind of dilemma. While this speaks to Jael Chi'ra’s ability to think outside the box to find solutions, his moral code often gets in the way of taking the easy way out.

Using the motto, “I don’t give a frak”, Jael lives by these words to the very last ounce of his being. He has created an imagined front for his personality in order to push away even those he cares for. This is because of his jaded attitude regarding friends and family from the experiences he lived through. Since he came from a Sith family willing to belittle and murder their own and maintained connections with sympathizers who murdered those close to him, Jael essentially maintains a belief the universe and the Force have abandoned him. He also believes he can no longer love or trust anyone, not even himself.

Jael, at his core, is a very secretive, broody, emotional man, sensitive to his past as well as his potential future. Often he finds himself lost in a dream state, blissfully unaware of the world around him as he focuses upon his mistakes. His inner and outer self are driven by two different streams of thought, a rift between the two caused by the loss of his previous lover and best friend shortly after he transitioned. Within one stream, Jael is very happy even content with his life, finding new friendships and even potentially new love interests. His unintentional charismatic smile and sarcastic tone help his personality shine brightly with his positive presence; however, in the other state of mind, he believes he is partly responsible for the misgivings of his previous lover’s life and eventually was the cause of his death. When alone, Jael will often find silence is deafening and terrifying as this stream of thoughts will haunt his dreams and subconscious. Any mention of something extremely secretive may send him over the edge as he becomes enraged, while other more light secrets may be played off in a bluffing attitude or covert behavior.

While Jael Chi'ra avoids combat whenever possible, he has no qualms working with technology under the stress and pressure of combat. Jael Chi'ra has trained himself to keep calm and focus intently on Slicing even while taking blaster fire from cover or when placed under time constraints. In truth, Jael Chi'ra almost works better when under duress, and actually needs motivation, typically, when Slicing.

With regards to training and combat, Jael is one to fight until the very end, sometimes injuring his body near irrepair. He uses whatever strategy he can muster up in his mind with a quick change if required to his overall plan. In addition, Jael is quite fond of using dirty techniques in order to beat his opponent and is not afraid to resort to potentially hazardous actions, both for himself and his opponent. Sometimes this places Jael in a predicament when he must consider others in addition to his own survival, as he has a soft spot for those who are helpless, leaving him with next to no strategy.
