False Idol Personality

People tend to reverently follow The character’s lead and look up to them in difficult situations. Whether through inspirational behavior, fear and manipulation, or belief and hope for a better future, they think that The character genuinely believes what they do. This is all a clever facade, however, as The character is not always as upstanding and respectable as their followers believe. They are no idol, but an opportunist who knows how to manipulate a crowd into bettering their own machinations.

I Am Not A Committee! Personality

The character likes to engage in detailed discussions and think through situations carefully, often collaborating with others to seek their opinions before deciding on the best course of action. While this often ensures The character is more fair and well-respected amongst their peers, sometimes others do not have time to discuss this in a committee.

Outside The Box Personality

The character is a lateral thinker, and when they encounter problems or dilemmas, they are very good at improvising and coming up with alternative solutions. This allows The character to find ways out of situations others might give up on. While these solutions are often not so obvious to others, The character can typically explain and lead others through their plan...as long as they are patient and willing enough to trust them outside thinking.

Wise Guy Personality

Despite an aversion for physical confrontation, The character has a quick-witted and sharp sense of humour, and never passes up the opportunity to make a quip or jibe about their situation, or to taunt their enemies. While some find The character to be funny and likeable, others do not always respond so warmly, and occasionally The character will get themself into more trouble than they thought when someone takes a joke the wrong way.

Tiny, But Fierce Combat

The character works hard to maintain an image of fierce tenacity despite being of a smaller stature. To that extent, The character has learned to not take jabs about their stature offensively, but to instead burn them quietly as fuel for their inner spirit. The flame that is sparked as a result is controlled by The character's discipline of never overestimating their own abilities or those of their opponents. They has trained to fully utilize their size as an advantage when fighting larger opponents. They know exactly how to leverage their weight to deliver the most effective take downs or maneuvers. The effort to maintain this image can be draining at times, and when outmatched or overwhelmed, The character becomes susceptible to a loss of spirit.

There’s An Easy Way? General

The character somehow always finds themself in tricky situations that put them in over their head. As such, The character always seems to be digging themself out of some kind of dilemma. While this speaks to The character’s ability to think outside the box to find solutions, their moral code often gets in the way of taking the easy way out.

Go Go Gadget Combat

The character's passion for technology extends beyond his talent with Slicing. They truly believe that wars can be won with technology, not soldiers, and will always try to avoid direct combat if they can afford it. Instead, they prefer to deploy clever traps with Explosives, or turn technology against others as a weapon. The character would rather overload a circuit breaker to shock a guard into submission than to test his luck with his hands or a blaster. If removed from technology or their gadgets, however, The character can easily be overwhelmed. Fortunately, they have no qualms with throwing a smoke grenade down and running for dear life.

Problem Solver General

The character looks at any problem they come across and instead of immediately complaining about it sets out to figuring out a solution. They will work tirelessly to find workarounds or a solution, but can often overthink the resolution and come up with a "fix" that is actually more complex than needed. This driven approach to fixing problems can be helpful at times but grating at others when a simple "restart" would have accomplished the task quicker than re-programming the entire device.

Combat Slicer Combat

While The character avoids combat whenever possible, they have no qualms working with technology under the stress and pressure of combat. The character has trained themself to keep calm and focus intently on Slicing even while taking blaster fire from cover or when placed under time constraints. In truth, The character almost works better when under duress, and actually needs motivation, typically, when Slicing.

Intergalactic Drifter General

Having been born inside a star-ship as opposed to planet-side, The character has never had a particular world to call their home. They grew up in an environment that requires being of use in order to survive, and without the borders that breed patriotism. The allegiances of the galaxy mean little to them, only the strength of individual merit. They are most at peace when in space, and will take on any contract or mission that enables them to remain firmly seated in a cockpit.

This utter lack of affiliation often results in what can be construed as insubordination and disloyalty, putting them at odds with those that value such things.

Alternative Methods General

The character's skills as a medic are not just limited to holo-books and lectures. They has read up and practiced a handful of experimental treatments while inventing a few home remedies of their own. This allows The character to work outside the box in less than ideal situations, and can lead to them solving mysteries other trained medics might struggle with. This, of course, comes with its own string of failures, as nothing is ever perfect. That, and some of the more established professionals in the field often doubt or question The character's alternative practices. They typically brush them off in favor of doing everything they can to help a patient, but does quietly seek recognition for accomplishments as a healer.

Don’t Stand In The Fire Personality

The character has been patching up the wounded for years as a Medic and has come to the conclusion that more often than not, the injuries are either self inflicted or deserved. While they will always work tirelessly on behalf of their patient in an ongoing quest to preserve all life, that doesn’t stop them from scolding or belittling patients that they feels should know better than to walk into a rancor pit with a bucket of raw meat. The character teeters on the line between compassion and supporting selective evolution, which can make them come off as less friendly or inviting than other medics.

Always Prepared Combat

Sometimes the only way to prepare for the worst is to always expect it. The character takes this philosophy one step further by never leaving home without accounting for every possible scenario they might expect to encounter. The character tends to always have the right tool or item for a situation and has a habit of quietly and almost smugly presenting solutions before anyone even recognizes there is a problem. This foresight is far from infallible, however, and they often find themself at a loss in situations that go beyond what they could have imagined. While incredibly practical and often a life-saver in a pinch, their perpetually pessimistic outlook on daily life can be a bit draining on more optimistic-inclined companions.

Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better General

Riff Raff General

The character never really learned the definition of true consequence. They have “thieved” and tricked their way into the hearts of strangers, friends, and family but has never dealt with nor experienced a heavy sense of responsibility for those actions. This makes The character a very carefree soul, but he isn’t one for serious conversations or threats.

Public 2016/09/20 / 2018/12/17
Mad World General

The character has a sick sense of humor, viewing the world through dark colored glass. They have a biting sense of black humor, often laughing at things that most people would find reprehensible or down right soul crushing. As a result, those that are not used to their brand of humor often find The character downright unbearable or overly morbid. At the same time, their cynicism can be useful for seeing through the optimistic altruism of those they encounters.

Public 2016/09/20 / 2018/12/17
Spacer General

The character has no home planet, at least not one that they can remember. As a child, The character would spend most of their time on different starships and grew accustomed to the atmosphere and nuances of space and the various crafts that traverse it. As a result, The character feels more comfortable on a ship than on any planet.

Didn’t Say Anything About That General

Be it during a fight or life in general, moral compass means little to The character. If you don’t want a person harmed, you had better specify. General terms mean nothing to them as The character only deals in specifics. If the rules of a duel say you can’t shoot before the count of three? A grenade over the shoulder is fair game, then. Tell The character to stop someone at all costs, well, you better not be concerned if they’re brought back dead or alive.
