Brother Baro Bokko
Brother Baro Bokko
As far as Lurmen go, Baro Bokko is an anomaly. Not only is he slightly taller than the average Lurmen at a little more than four feet, but he is also much stockier. His heavily muscled frame, broad shoulders, and thick arms make him look more like a scaled-down Gamorrean in physique than a Lurmen. This is because of his mixed heritage; through some strange twist of fate, Baro is descended from a Lurmen and Wookiee pairing.
His fur is predominantly dark brown, almost black (especially on his face). However, much of the fur that crests his face is a golden-brown color, including the hair atop his head that is pulled into a fashionable top knot. His large eyes are hazel in color, with flecks of bright green scattered throughout. Finally, he has several prominent scars peeking out from the fur of his thick forearms and chest.
Having been born inside a star-ship as opposed to planet-side, Baro Bokko has never had a particular world to call his home. He grew up in an environment that requires being of use in order to survive, and without the borders that breed patriotism. The allegiances of the galaxy mean little to him, only the strength of individual merit. He is most at peace when in space, and will take on any contract or mission that enables him to remain firmly seated in a cockpit.
This utter lack of affiliation often results in what can be construed as insubordination and disloyalty, putting him at odds with those that value such things.
Despite whatever all his other characteristics may convey, Baro Bokko retains the air of a person that is confident, if not arrogant. Minor (and often, major) things in his body language - his walk, his stance, his expressions - reveal these feelings. At times, it seems he borders upon narcissism, especially judging from how much he enjoys his own company.
Baro Bokko is known for walking tall despite being of below average stature. He is quick to anger when called out for his height, and is not afraid of taking on an opponent regardless of their size or intimidation factor. This same tenacity makes Baro Bokko easier to rile up, which can be a good or bad thing depending on the situation at hand.
Baro Bokko would much rather be behind a hand of good sabacc cards or a rare vintage of aged liquor than with his blasters or ship. More often than not, he will spend nights at high-end establishments gambling, drinking and "socializing". Baro Bokko can survive without the finer things, but he sure would rather not. This preference follows him onto the job, so it is not uncommon for Baro Bokko to insult a client or potential partner by commenting on their choice of beverage or recreation.
Where most err on the side of caution in a confrontation, Baro Bokko prefers to charge in head-first. While others may skirt a battlefield or keep their careful distance, Baro Bokko rushes in with devastating attacks with seemingly no regard for safety, relying upon instinct and possibly armor to protect him from dismemberment and death during his all-out attacks. Baro Bokko is a force to be feared on the battlefield, leaving a trail of death and destruction. However, Baro Bokko's blood-hungry ways put him in far more danger than the normal combatant, often resulting in needless injury and suffering, trading safety for pure offensive ability.
Through a mixture of cocksure courage and arrogant swagger, Baro Bokko will not back down from a challenge when called out, even if the wiser path is to walk away or let it go. Baro Bokko's personality does tend to rub a lot of people the wrong way, which generally puts him into situations that escalate quickly to violence. While he may not be the one to always start a fight, he will always see it through to its conclusion. Some have tried to play a challenge off as idle banter, but when Baro Bokko initiates or accepts a challenge, he does not hold back.
