A typical Bothan, Yvanos is short and stocky. He is thick with muscle but nimble when the need arises. He is covered from head to toe in thick brown fur and has a mane of lighter colored fur which grows long into a pointed beard and into shoulder length hair. The darkside is strong with him and has painted his irises with a golden hue. His clothing is consistently made by the Herald’s Staff and is always proud and full in design. Everything from robes to flowing gowns are worn. Typically they are of the warmer color palette.

Through a combination of preparing, studying, and analyzing, Yvanos creates detailed battle plans and tries to think two steps ahead of the enemy. At times, however, this can lead to Yvanos creating complicated schemes that can baffle less intelligent subordinates.
Despite whatever all his other characteristics may convey, Yvanos retains the air of a person that is confident, if not arrogant. Minor (and often, major) things in his body language - his walk, his stance, his expressions - reveal these feelings. At times, it seems he borders upon narcissism, especially judging from how much he enjoys his own company.
Yvanos rarely acts without an alternate motive when it comes to lending aid or acting in a situation. Be it greed, power, or something else, almost undoubtedly Yvanos is after something more than what he says - though sometimes Yvanos is even blunt enough to admit to it. While his self-serving attitude comes as a boon, usually, to his survival and pocketbook, his relationships are often strained by his outright selfish attitude.
Yvanos has a tendency to be secretive and keeps to himself, relying on deception to conceal his motives and intentions. He is a schemer, and plots and plans against others carefully. When dealing with a confrontation, he will try and bluff his way out of trouble, or overcome obstacles with deliberate, covert actions.
Yvanos works hard to maintain an image of fierce tenacity despite being of a smaller stature. To that extent, Yvanos has learned to not take jabs about his stature offensively, but to instead burn them quietly as fuel for his inner spirit. The flame that is sparked as a result is controlled by Yvanos's discipline of never overestimating his own abilities or those of his opponents. He has trained to fully utilize his size as an advantage when fighting larger opponents. He knows exactly how to leverage his weight to deliver the most effective take downs or maneuvers. The effort to maintain this image can be draining at times, and when outmatched or overwhelmed, Yvanos becomes susceptible to a loss of spirit.
Through careful study and dedication to isolated martial-combat, Yvanos has turned the act of dueling into an art form. A keen eye and attention to detail allows him the ability to learn their opponent's idiosyncrasies while fighting. Yvanos then uses his own skills to capitalize on the opponent's weakness. Because of this calculated approach to isolated duels, Yvanos has a harder time taking on multiple opponents at once at higher skill levels.
