Dread Lord Alaris Jinn
Dread Lord Alaris Jinn, di Plagia
Alaris is one of the shortest Dark Jedi in the entire Brotherhood. He is very well toned thanks to the vigorous training of Ky Terrak. He is a Rutian, and as such his skin tone is a deep, royal blue.
Like all Twi'lek, he has two Lekku protruding from the top of his cranium and are nearly identical in length, his left one being longer by half a centimeter. They are each three feet in length, and he usually wraps them about himself, unless he is in combat in which he allows them to flow freely behind his torso. Alaris always appears in his Dark Jedi robes with a large black cloak covering himself, until in combat when he removes the cloak.
Alaris Jinn views the galaxy as a collection of interconnected systems—governments, corporations, militaries, and individuals—all capable of being understood, improved, or replaced. He rarely relies on brute force when careful planning and patient influence can produce a more permanent result. While this long-term thinking allows him to build organizations that outlast any single victory, it can also cause him to underestimate the value of spontaneity or emotion.
Alaris understands that true power cannot be measured in credits alone. Every favor granted, partnership forged, or act of generosity creates relationships that may one day prove more valuable than wealth itself. He cultivates influence through reputation, competence, and mutual obligation, believing that lasting alliances are far stronger than fear. However, he rarely forgets a debt, whether he owes it or is owed one.
Alaris holds himself and those around him to exceptionally high standards. He rewards competence with trust, autonomy, and opportunity, believing that talented people perform best when given the freedom to master their craft. While he is patient with honest mistakes and committed to developing potential, he has little tolerance for negligence, complacency, or repeated failures born from carelessness.
Beneath his calm and calculating exterior lies a man who genuinely believes that power exists to impose stability on a chaotic galaxy. Nearly every decision he makes is guided by a long-term vision of order, even when those choices require difficult compromises or personal sacrifice. His certainty in that vision can make him appear cold or manipulative, especially to those who value ideals over results.
Alaris prefers to defeat opponents psychologically before the first decisive blow is ever struck. Through deception, misdirection, telepathic influence, and careful manipulation of the battlefield, he seeks to erode an enemy's confidence until they become predictable and vulnerable. While devastatingly effective against impulsive opponents, this approach can be challenged by disciplined adversaries who refuse to play his game.
A practitioner of Sokan with a strategist's mindset, Alaris rarely seeks a quick victory. He conserves his strength, studies an opponent's habits, and allows mistakes to accumulate before committing to a decisive offensive. This measured approach often frustrates more aggressive enemies, but it can leave him vulnerable if forced into fast-moving battles where immediate action is required.
