Through a combination of preparing, studying, and analyzing, Drethak Sorrn creates detailed battle plans and tries to think two steps ahead of the enemy. At times, however, this can lead to Drethak Sorrn creating complicated schemes that can baffle less intelligent subordinates.

When Drethak Sorrn does things, he makes sure everything is done correctly, no matter how long it takes. This means there are frequent delays in Drethak Sorrn's work, but it's usually done right, at least.

Drethak Sorrn considers his work to be the most important aspect of his life. This borderline obsession with the "job" leaves little room for any kind of personal or social life, making it difficult for Drethak Sorrn to relax and enjoy spending time with others. He excels in activities that relate to their work, but the idea of work-life balance is an altogether abstract concept.

Drethak Sorrn is not afraid to exploit any advantage or position of power he has when dealing with others, and relies on a combination of fear, intimidation, manipulation and shows of strength to convince others to compromise and lose. Drethak Sorrn can be quite callous in his dealings with others, and never gives up his power. This has earned Drethak Sorrn with the reputation of a “bully” and can often make negotiations difficult before they even begin.

Without the gift of the Force, Drethak Sorrn has trained rigorously with a wide range of melee weaponry and technology to better handle opponents that are able to harness the mythical power. Drethak Sorrn has been conditioned to fight against foes that are Force-sensitive and are able to compensate against fighting an adversary wielding something as deadly as a lightsaber. While this adaptive combat training makes him lethal in close quarters combat against any kind of threat, they are still at the mercy of a long ranged fighter, assailant or Force user that prefers to attack the mind instead of the body.

Drethak Sorrn wears out his opponents through use of the Force, agility, and evasion. Once he has sufficiently tired his foes through the Force, physical, or mental assault, he quickly tries to find a means of cleanly and swiftly dispatching them - usually resulting in a somewhat risky all-or-nothing attempt at a deathblow.
