A slightly below average size for his species, he has a slender, but muscular build covered in black and white fur. His skin is a tanned pinkish hue. His hands are stained from working with grease and oils. His eyes are a bluish amethyst.
Tyke loves to play with computers and enjoys interacting with them more than he does with people. Some may call him antisocial - and they'd be right.
If it has an electronic circuit or gears,Tyke thinks he can fix it; everything from holopads to starships. To Tyke, even the most random assortment of scraps from a junkyard can be used to create something useful. He has a knack for fixing things that are broken, and his confidence in this ability borders on arrogance, and if he fails to fix something, he is prone to fits of anger and annoyance.
Tyke is known for walking tall despite being of below average stature. He is quick to anger when called out for his height, and is not afraid of taking on an opponent regardless of their size or intimidation factor. This same tenacity makes Tyke easier to rile up, which can be a good or bad thing depending on the situation at hand.
Tyke is a lateral thinker, and when he encounters problems or dilemmas, he is very good at improvising and coming up with alternative solutions. This allows Tyke to find ways out of situations others might give up on. While these solutions are often not so obvious to others, Tyke can typically explain and lead others through his plan...as long as they are patient and willing enough to trust him outside thinking.
While Tyke avoids combat whenever possible, he has no qualms working with technology under the stress and pressure of combat. Tyke has trained himself to keep calm and focus intently on Slicing even while taking blaster fire from cover or when placed under time constraints. In truth, Tyke almost works better when under duress, and actually needs motivation, typically, when Slicing.
Tyke's passion for technology extends beyond his talent with Slicing. He truly believes that wars can be won with technology, not soldiers, and will always try to avoid direct combat if he can afford it. Instead, he prefers to deploy clever traps with Explosives, or turn technology against others as a weapon. Tyke would rather overload a circuit breaker to shock a guard into submission than to test his luck with his hands or a blaster. If removed from technology or his gadgets, however, Tyke can easily be overwhelmed. Fortunately, he has no qualms with throwing a smoke grenade down and running for dear life.
