The Journeyman Tourney is an introductory event into the ACC for DJB members with a rank of Journeyman 4 or less at the time of the announcement of the event. It allows for Journeymen members of the Brotherhood to get their feet wet in the ACC with the opportunity to the strengths of our newer membership. All Journeymen, regardless of ACC experience, are encouraged to participate.

To participate in the Tourney, a member must be:

1. ACC Qualified
2. Under the rank of Equite 1 (Journeyman 4 serving as the maximum rank).

• Members that qualify for the Journeyman Tourney will have until April 10, 2016 to sign up with the following form.

• Signups will be manually added to the competition, so only submissions through the above form will count towards registering for the Tournament. If you have questions, please contact your House/Clan Summits.

Bracket

• Participants will be seeded randomly and compete in a ladder bracket to determine a Champion (1st Place) and a Gladius (2nd Place).

• This event is about individual acknowledgement and achievement. As such, there will be no benefits or awards for the Clan that a member represents beyond simple bragging rights.

• Torunament will take place in the Journeyman Tourney [2016] Hall.

Awards

• The winner of the Journeyman Tourney will earn the Journeyman Champion Pendent dossier accessory.
• The second place finalist will earn the Journeyman Gladius Pendent dossier accessory.
• The finalist will receive the Grand Master’s Signet Dossier Accessory as a sign of favor.
• Elo Rank, Clusters of Ice per the ACC competition standards.
• 2nd Level Crescents per the MAA competition standards

Rules:

• All posts have a minimum word count of 250 words.
• All posts have a maximum word count of 1,000 words.
• All matches will be 2/2 Alternative Ending format.
• All matches will have a 3-Day post limit with (1) one 24 Hour Extension per match.
• Any circumstances that cannot be helped, such as hospitalization, will be discussed with the event organizer, the Combat Master, and the Voice and handled on a case-by-case basis.
• Members will be able to update their Character Sheet, upon promotion, on a case-by-case basis with direct assistance of the Combat Master, up until the rank of Journeyman 4.
• Members that are promoted to Equite 1 during the Tournament will finish the tournament with their Journeyman 4 Character Sheet.
• Match Venues will vary, and will be selected randomly from the available list of ACC Venues.
• All participating Journeyman are encouraged to expand their storytelling skills in the ACC. Writers can pursue better scores in Story by thinking outside the box, and avoiding the cliche tropes of “proving yourself” or “training exercise”.

Grading:

• This competition is headlined by Judge Alaris Jinn and run with the support of the Combat Master of the Brotherhood, Deputy Grand Master, Grand Master and Voice.
• Matches will be graded by the ACC Judge Staff in accordance with the ACC Rubric.
