In celebration of May the 4th, Atra and I wanted to run a fun little competition for you guys.

The Character Sheet System is a great wealth of textual information. Some of us are more visual than others, however, and like to have visual cues.

Your task is to create an animated gif that could help illustrate one of the elements of our Character Sheets. Most specifically, Skill’s, Force Power’s and Feat’s. This can be anything from an example of a Primary Lightsaber Form or Blasters, to Telekinesis or the famous Force Lightning that Palpatine uses on Luke.

How To Submit

To create an animated gif, you can use the following methods:

1. Take advantage of Giphy’s free GIF-creator.

Step 1: Find a video clip from Star Wars media that best illustrates a Skill, Force Power or Feat.

Step 2: Enter the url of the clip/video into url box. Or drag and drop your file from your computer to the designated space. Or search your computer for the file itself.

Step 3: Select the Start and End point of the animation.

Step 4: Profit.

Members can submit their animated depictions as either an uploaded .gif or animation-compatible file format, and/or as a url link.

Final Example:

Grading

Grading will be done using the following criteria:

1. How accurately a Skill, Force Power, or Feat is depicted, as determined by the Combat Master and Praetor to the Voice (the two Graders).
2. How aesthetic the presentation of the animation/gif is.
3. How creative the entry is.

For Placement in the competition:

1. Animations will need to reflect a form of Star Wars media (videogames, movies, tv series, etc). You are more than welcome to use content from other visual media (anime, tv shows, movies) to illustrate a Skill, Force Power, or Feat, but only Star Wars media will count for placement.

2. All entries must reflect a Skill, Force Power, or Feat that exists within the Dark Jedi Brotherhoods Character Sheet System.

3. Members are able to submit as many submissions as they like, but only one will be selected as a winning entry.

All submissions, winning or not, may be used by the Combat Master in future reports (with the submitter's permission)!
