7 STANZA HAIKU, 5/7/5

To become a Knight
In the Battleteam Dreypa
You erase your past

Every attachment
Possesions, family, pets
Destroyed by you

But poor little 'Shu
Had only one attachment
He had a sister

Her name, Aelita
Lovely adopted sibling
Fellow Obelisk

Searching high and low
Between the light and darkness
Until she was found

They fought on Florrum
And with a sweep of the sword
A new Knight was born

The Jedi are gone
Alone on The Anchorage
"An Liu Zhu" ponders

(Non-rhyming poem)

Amidst the forsaken waste that Florrum was
No stone o'er turned nor structure stood;
The shadow of war accomplished did mark the sod
Where victory had turned once people into drudge.

The swine were rallied, roiled and wrought
From the civil masses into hopeless heaps;
Whips did bludgeon what freedom perchance remained
Into hopeless heaps that heft our glory hence.

Amidst the burgeoning umbrage of Aliso forthwith
Plagueis prepares to pounce upon what remains;
No flesh remains will flee the chains that bind
And their foes will stubbornly face
The final curtain.

Insidiously we swept through their holy land,
Carving a new scarring into the bodies, jarring,
Their belief that they were safe under a peaceful stand.
Peace is a lie, and so we showed them the truth they found alarming,
The weak are swept aside by the strong,
And now in their chains they sing a new song.

Fastidiously they worked like the infinitesimal insects they are.
Striving to grasp freedom from tyranny,
Their reach fell short amongst the dark-ruled stars.
Some slipped through the choking grasp with an epiphany,
Persevering and cowering away in a distance unknown,
Leaving countless behind, to the Plagueis horrors shown.

Yet the question remains, to what purpose,
Do we gain the ire of all clans, who now see us as destroyers?
Was it merely for slaves to serve us?
At the beck and call of Pravus who said of Urr, “Destroy her.”
A lone Zabrak stands within the storm,
Questioning what has become the norm.
