Competition: TOR Fashionistas

Finished
TOR Fashionistas

Sith of the Old Republic tended to favor ornate robes and valued their dignity. But the Dark Brotherhood follows a different path. A path of chaos and eclectic desires is what makes us great, and what better way to show that than through clothes? Express yourself with an ingame outfit!

Submissions should include a screenshot of your character wearing the outfit you created as well as a description of the idea you were aiming for. Winners will be chosen based on the creativity of their idea (50%) and how well the outfit captures that idea (50%). Screenshots of the preview window are acceptable, so any armor in the game is at your disposal.

My character likes to portray an air of sophistication and wealth. As such, I dressed her much as you might see a Roman noblewoman dressed, using what I had at my disposal in the game. I even used what colors I could to portray that wealth, as certain colors were rare and expensive throughout history, in particular blues were only allowed to be worn by royalty(hence the color royal blue).

When I was making this outfit I was trying to make an outfit that was strong but feminine. She would be a shield maiden for her master. She was alluring to him but if anyone attacked could defend the master. In the end I found an outfit that looked like a belly dancer but was strong to defend against enemies.

When I first saw the Jedi Strategist armor released in a recent cartel pack, it reminded me a bit of the outfit worn by the [Warrior Woman](http://i.imgur.com/0ztyyD3.jpg) in Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior. I wanted to create something that had a similar feel, but with some differences here and there.

So I created this for my Mandalorian Powertech Morvik. I took my inspiration from the Republic Commando novels by Karen Traviss who expounded on the Mandalorian culture. It was said that Mandalorians took pieces of armor from people they've killed, or from friends and family that have passed on and the Mandalorian wanted to remember them in a personal way. So that's the idea behind the mismatched armor and the Karagga's bell is because it was the first drop that I ever got from a raid in SWTOR back in 2012 or so. Morvik is my main so I like to have a cool story for what I did for her.

Well kind of a little bit unfair since Taldryan once won a Clan robe we fashioned after the armor set of Thana Vesh from SW:ToR but anyways, as close as color modulation allows for: Thana Vesh Armor Set and Taldryan Tenacity Robe in Obelisk color variation.

The reasons behind this set was to get some sort of an leather and armor mix that still allows to blend into crowds of people and doesn't catch much attention nor look too much like an armor.
